Extremely disappointing experience. I was rushed to sign papers, my questions were brushed off in the moment and I was told inaccurate info in order to sign the contract.
Then during the move, our nice furniture was dropped, tossed around, carried up stairs with no padding, and multiple items (worth thousands of dollars) arrived dented, scratched, and damaged. The movers were fighting with each other the whole time and there was a palpable tense, hostile energy during the entire two day move. I felt scared and anxious the whole time.
I filed a claim on the damaged items and am pending a response. I will only get ¢60/pound based on the weight stated on the inventory which I was initially told “did not need to be accurate.” I wish I had saved the $3,000 and rented a u-haul to do it myself. I’ve moved 5 times in the last 15 years and have never had furniture damaged (at all, let alone to this extent) or felt so overwhelmed in the process.
Update: about a week after my move, I filled out a survey emailed to me my the company and detailed my experience. A customer advocate reached out and listened to me and validated that this experience was completely unacceptable. She took detailed notes so they could follow up and retrain their employees and I was also reimbursed for approximately 40% the cost of the move.

It is clear that Suddath, Mayflower Moving, Daryl Flood Relocation & Logistics do not care about their customers and are fully focused on maximizing profits.Angie and I utilized them for our move from Texas to Colorado and the entire process has been riddled with shady business practices and bad customer service.I put a deposit down to lock a moving rate in January for our move in May. In May my agent told me the price went up $1500, meaning the incentive to put a deposit down was a bold faced lie. At this point I was held hostage to using them due to timing. The only employee either company provided was the truck driver. All other movers/packers/etc were local contractors hired as day labor. They treated our property just like you would expect from someone who is not responsible for the end result. I caught movers sitting on my boxes and playing around with my belongings multiple times. My move coordinator had no clue when my belongings would be delivered. She texted me multiple times giving me the wrong dates, and I had to correct her each time. Luckily, the driver was in direct contact with me and he showed up on the date he told me he would. These contracted movers did significant damage to the rental property we moved into in Colorado, putting a hole clear through a door, banging up walls, door frames, stairs and railings. My first claims adjuster ignored over a dozen emails and phone calls from me until I threw a massive fit to their supervisor, at which point they finally sent someone to look at the house, who finally agreed and scheduled the work to fix the damage. This process took 2 to 2.5 months, at about 4 emails and 4 phone calls PER WEEK until it was addressed. The driver reviewed our belongings at the point of delivery and admitted that a "parts box" that had screws for furniture, power plugs for TV's, etc. Was clearly missing. In addition, it turns out that several boxes were not indexed at our house, as they turned up at delivery without any labeling or being listed on the manifest. This would be fine, however as we unpacked we have found that at least 3 or 4 unmarked boxes did NOT make the trip, totalling about $1500-$2000 worth of lost property. Why am I writing about this today? Well I just got an email from my claims adjuster that since I signed the delivery paperwork at point of delivery, they don't technically have to reimburse me for any of the missing things, even though they weren't properly documented for the move, and therefore we could not possibly determine they were missing when I signed, but he is willing to be a nice guy and offer us $500.These companies are a sham. They do not take care of their customers in any way. They are not willing to work with or help make anything right. I am 100% sure I could have done better hiring my own labor. Look anywhere else for better service for your move.

Jose and his crew were quick and easy to work with. They were very respectful and great communicators. Thanks for getting the job done without issue!

We used them for a commercial project move and they didn't communicate properly to the movers and drivers out of state and the movers sat around and even laid down on the floor while others worked around them. The 4 movers left over an hour and half early from what was agreed upon and then Suddath refused to credit that time back. Extremely unprofessional and lack integrity. It was embarrassing to our client that they had to have their own executives move things due to Suddath movers being lazy.

We interviewed several moving companies for a local move. Most were charging hourly and it was obvious they were under estimating the time it would take to move. Suddath was a flat rate for a two day move (other companies said it would take 6-8 hours). We went with Suddath for the peace of mind even though looking at the estimates they were higher because we knew it would not go over that. The move took all of two full days for the and our crew was awesome and hustling non stop (so that showed us the other companies were way off). They made sure our stuff was protected and moved safely. We could not have asked for a better moving experience.
