I can’t say enough good things about the team at Ridglea West. Our dog was bitten 4 times by a venomous snake, but survived due to their care. First, at our dog’s annual check-up when he received his rattlesnake booster, Dr. Verwers had the foresight to offer us a shot of antihistamine, antibiotic, and steroid to have on hand in case of any venomous snake bite. He also picked up my call when I called him on a Sunday afternoon and gave further instructions. Throughout his treatment they kept us well informed and encouraged us to spend time with him. I appreciate that they were upfront about the cost of treatment. After a few days in hospital with them, our dog is now home and doing well. I’m confidant caring for him as Tori’s instructions were clear, and know that I can call them if any concerns arise.

We were impressed with our first visit to the clinic - it was clean and the receptionist was friendly. Dr. Richey was excellent, providing valuable guidance on caring for our bearded dragon, who deserved a better life after his rough start. We feel much more comfortable giving him the best life ever.

I have been a client of Dr. Verwers for almost forty years. I consider him a pediatrician. Over the years I have had many dogs. He specializes in preventative medicine in order to ensure that my dogs live long and very healthy lives. All of my dogs (several of which were large) have experienced longevity coupled with excellent health. He stays educated on new treatments and products that have assisted in the goal of healthy living. I trust him with the lives of my beloved dogs. I would highly recommend him to everybody.

I absolutely love the all the staff, vet techs, and receptionist!!!! They are amazing at what they do and you can tell they really care! I never have to wait when I have an appointment and they can normally get me in same day for emergencies. Dr. Verwers is one of the absolute best vets I have ever taken my animals to. Yes, he can be abrasive but I love this about him!!! Straight forward vets are hard to come by. They usually give you the run around, tell you several treatment options that don't work and become costly. Dr. Verwers has always been straight forward with what is going on with my pets and what needs to be done to cure them and every time treatment has been reasonably priced and effective!!! I recommend Ridgela West Animal Hospital and Dr. Verwers to everyone looking for a quality vet!

Since our big pup landed at Ridglea West with an acute illness, we’ve been very pleased at the staffs’ knowledge, treatment plans, availability, friendliness and continuity of care from a full team of professional vet science providers. Their passion for what they do is exemplified in how they care for their patients and pet families. Well done Sara, Tori, Dr Verwers, Roxie, Barbara and other team members. Dr. Richey and Dr. Verwers get a 10/10 paws from all the pets I’ve ever brought here. Phenomenal customer service, extremely clean clinic, and the ease of getting an appointment is amazing. I wish I could give more than 5 stars.
