We purchased a house from Lennar Homebuilders in the Bridgewater community in March 2024. NIX installed our electric fireplace in our living room as a subcontractor for Lennar. When we had been in the home, for six weeks, my family and I were watching TV and we heard a cracking noise and looked over and the interior glass on the fireplace shattered (this piece is locked into place behind the glass piece that we have access to). When we immediately reported this to Lennar, they told us that NIX can cover it under warranty and to reach out to them. We have been playing phone tag for Diamond for a month and finally we were able to discuss this situation today via phone. Diamond and her boss, Josh Allison, stated that the secondary glass piece is not under warranty and essentially we have to replace the entire fireplace at our own expense. WHY? Why do we who just purchased a brand new $400,000 home have to replace a brand new fireplace when the outside of the glass is not broken, meaning that we did not damage the glass. The inside glass shattered. How can we not receive a replacement at their cost? Clearly this was a defective item. Even after I explained to Josh at NIX that we never even turned on the fireplace one time since living in the home and we have only been in this brand new home for 3 months, he said it's not his issue and do I want to take money out of his employee's mouths? Huh?! I want my 3 month old fireplace to work and not be shattered like it is and we should not have to pay for defective glass. Josh said that he could not cover the glass because I could have removed the outer piece of glass and damaged the inside and put the outer piece back on. That makes no sense. We didn't even use the fireplace, but he suggests that we would have done all that to create this issue for ourselves and have a broken fireplace and then go through all this to report it. NIX, do the right thing by your consumers and replace your defective glass.

Horrible customer service. This used to be one of my favorite suppliers. It all changed a few years back when they sold to new ownership. Go somewhere else to shop.

My builder highly recommended this company. They clearly received a kickback for promoting them. Because bo one if their right mind would use their services. I would not recommend this company for any of your security needs. The customer is a zero. Please shop around

RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN !!!! As an experienced custom home builder for over forty (40) years, this is one of the most unprofessional, underhanded companies that I’ve ever worked with. TOTALLY ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE !!! Where to start?
1) my window order, when received, was missing windows and other windows that were ordered wrong. Nix refused to admit any responsibility and did not resolve the problem.
2) eight (8) windows were damaged upon delivery. Again, Nix refused to admit any responsibility and did not resolve the problem.
3) Nix promised delivery of the missing windows and then did not deliver them while I have labor at the job site to install.
Nix’s only response is that if you don’t pay we will take legal action even thou there were all of these numerous issues.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS DISHONEST AND UNSCRUPULOUS COMPANY !!!!!!

Writing this more pertaining to a single employee and installer, not pertaining to the Nix as a company. Hunter Meier did our installations and went above and beyond when he was on-site to ensure we were satisfied. He also helped fill the gap for other installers and made sure we were pleased at the end of the day. Great employee and even better experience working with him.

First of all Antwan wad amazing. He kept in constant contact and was super professional even though the date kept moving.Tyler who did the install was very professional, on time, worked quickly and CLEAN!!Definitely recommend.

I have a complicate flare fireplace.. it took a few visits to make it right ..Anytime I need maintenance I request hunter myer and only hunter .. definitely knows what he is doing and great communication ..

Our service was very professional. The technician, Adrian, solved our problem imediately, took the time to educate us about operating the unit, advised us about maintenance and left the fireplace and surrounding area clean. We would definitely rely on this company should future needs arise.

Would not use this company again. The windows are I guess average. My problem is our patio multi-slide door. First of all the installers put the door in with drywall screws. The door came with stainless steel screws ,which they threw away. Then after they finished the door would not latch,and when it was latched you had to push on the door very hard to unlatch it. They sprayed it with WD 40 but never got it right. After we moved into house we called Nix and they sent out a tech , and he made it better but still was not right. Now after about a year can't get the door to latch or unlatch unless you grab the back edge and push very hard.After paying 4900.00 for a door it should work without fighting it. My GC called them and they would have to charge 200.00 just to come out.I don't think I should have to pay anything since it was installed poorly.Jim on adell roadContacted Tyler and he sent another door tech out . They did some adjusting and got the door working a lot better. Still sometimes you have to push the door closed and hold it before it will latch. But as long as it stays like this , I can live with it. Tyler was very professional and was concerned with my problem.Thanks Tyler for getting back to me so fast.

We received great service from Adrian. We just moved into a home we are renovating and we called Nix. We were scheduled in very quickly to have the gas fireplace checked out. Adrian was able to clean, service, start up and give us information about our unit. Great customer service all the way from scheduling to completion.
