when they were downtown, service was king! but like most established service companies that are living on their past reputation, not so much. i dropped a stihl chain saw for service. the guys at the desk were nice enough. they said it would take a few days. three weeks later, i called to check on it and they said, "they couldn't find it but would looking for it" and would give me a call. another week rolls around and still nothing. after asking to speak to the mgr. i was told he would call me back. miraculously, an hour later they called to say it was ready to pick up. paid the bill $150 hr and took it home. ready to us and realized they squirted some carb cleaner in it, wiped it down and put a new air filter on it and called it good. ran like it did when i took it in! rebuilt the carburetor myself and it works as it should. what a hose job!

We bought a zero turn and a dr roto tiller there last year. Was greeted immediately by a very knowledgeable sale guy. He asked the right questions and didn't try to upsell us. Had an issue with the tiller a few weeks after so we took it in. They repaired it without question. I spoke with the owner while waiting on the repair and he was kind and respectful. After reading the prior reviews I really see how people don't take responsibility for themselves and just want to blame the business. It's sad because this business has a great selection and fair prices. I researched the prices and no one was selling cheaper.

DO NOT SHOP HERE. Leonard’s is the very worst equipment vendor/service center in DFW Metroplex. I own & manage a large ranch and have occasionally purchased equipment or had small engine service performed at Leonard's. The sales staff used to be dismissive and snarky, but that improved due to a LOT of complaints over the past years. Prices have always been high, but when I need something locally at least they carry my brands. SERVICE is TERRIBLE - always late and makes me feel like an idiot and the last person they want to help. One more try: I brought a chainsaw in for replacement of a stripped bolt visible from the outside of the housing and slightly bent bar. The desk help informed me that they would not attempt to straighten the bar and a new one was $100, so I told them to forget about replacing it - just look at the bolt. After 5 weeks and my three phone calls to hear about that service, they informed that replacing the bolt would be $100. Saw isn't worth that so I asked them to just hold for my pickup. When I got there, the desk help gave me a bill for $34 "to look at the problem" and brought me the saw dissembled and tossed in a box. He was nice enough but would not back down. Too bad because I was in a good mood when I walked in and was thinking about buying another new riding mower. Will never think about Leonard's again but use the many other dealers in Fort Worth including Lowe's, Home Depot and Ace Hardware or Grainger. Forget this business and you won' be sorry.

I have purchased several pieces of equipment here including a commercial lawnmower. My purchasing experiences have all been good. If they are busy, it is hard to get help though.I have tried to get my mower, powerhead and chainsaw serviced a few times and the wait is always weeks or months. I end up going to another Stihl/Toro dealer instead.

Bought a costly Scag mower from Leonard’s. Like the mower… the service not so much. Common parts like filters not available. Here’s the kicker: got a recall on Kawasaki engine… confirm mine is in recall. Go by to see about scheduling it fir a simple recall repair. One desk helper says “looks like we’ll do it for free”…duh, it is recall on equipment you sold and the letter says “labor covered”. So it’s mid April. For that mowing season reason I ask about scheduling it? Leonard’s answer, mind that this is a simple as heck repair on a fuel line “recalled”. They say “nope, got to leave it and we’re 4 weeks out”… 4 weeks in the middle of mow season. It’s not an overhaul job.

Have been here 2 times now, 2 times. Both times I may as well have been invisible. Never asked if I needed help, never ever saw anyone who looked like they were working there. Most of the mowers didn't have any prices posted or any info on the mowers. Hint taken. I'll take my business elsewhere.

I bought a chainsaw and it was always super hard to get started. In the middle of a job it just dies and wouldn’t restart. I take it in for repairs after I tired everything to get it restarted. I installed a new plug but still couldn’t get it to start. Leonard’s took over a month and a half to replace one part (the coil). Then wanted to blame the customer for not making any money on the deal. NEWS FLASH YOU MADE THE MONEY WHEN YOU SOLD IT! It took Echo getting involved for to just get my chainsaw back and they still wanted to charge me for a start plug at I installed. Stay away from these people.

Go to A&B lawn and garden or lawn & garden warehouse on Mccart street. Commercial or residential customers. Having to give one star rating is one star to much for James/Leonard's.Definitely not the same good place before he bought the name/store.

Terrible place. Had mower looked at here, and I asked why my mower was smoking. The person I think was the manager, and another worker who stated he was honda certified began yelling and acting arrogant. Wouldnt let me speak. Dont go to this place. Also there was a guy named Gabriel here, he was the only professional person I dealt with here.

I rarely post on businesses but this is an exception. I brought my two year old echo blower in because it wouldn't start on 12/19. On 12/30 I called to check on it and they said it should have already been done and they would get right on it. On 1/6 I went by and got the same story, should have been done and they would get right on it.Sure enough later that day they called and said it was done. Went to get today, they replaced the carburetor for $130, when I asked why it was not under a warranty since the echo has a 5 year warranty they go carburetors aren't covered and was very rude. He also acted like I should thank him for getting the blower out quickly after my second follow up. They may be great for the trades but I was very disappointed as a consumer FYI I bought this blower and several other echo products from them. Guess ing no more.

Take a quick look at all the reviews...they are 100% bad. Seems like the owner James would wake up and realize he could change his toxic behavior and reap the benefits of a well respected business

Horrible customer service, don't buy equipment from these guys. The owner is a complete j**** Yelled at us for asking simple questions about warranty on a mower.
