We've been using Lake Worth Animal Clinic since we adopted our first puppy (about 3-4 years ago). They've always been pretty good about getting us in for an appt when needed for minor medical issues, and had great service. Very decently priced for those minor issues, and a quick in an out visit. This most recent array of visits have been troubling. Our GS lost a toenail and had an exposed quick, which got infected badly. We took her to the vet and the visit was fine, no issues. They got us antibiotics and treated her. Within the next month, she lost another toenail on the same foot, and had 2 others that were barely hanging on, which also got infected. We took her back and the vet was not going to remove her barely hanging on toenails, which were causing her great discomfort due to rubbing against the quick. We had to ask the vet to come back to the room and take another look to consider removing them. He finally agreed to remove one of the nails, keeping the other one there. Mind you, by this point, she only had one nail remaining on that foot. The others (including the dewclaw), had all fallen off/were removed. We were concerned that something else was going on, due to multiple nails falling off. And, when we trimmed her nails that week before taking her back, we saw pus coming out from another paw's nail. We brought our concerns to the dr, who stated that "if it happens again, we will consider something else going on". She's already lost 4 nails by this point, what do you mean?? lol.Well, we took her home with the antibiotics, and those nails seemed to be healing fine. Now, fast forward about 2 weeks, a nail on her back foot is infected. So now, instead of having answers last time we took her, we have to pay for ANOTHER visit. We are definitely finding a better place to take her going forward. We need answers to find out what kind of chronic condition she has.Just to be clear, the other staff were exceptional. They are very kind and show compassion, and were on our side when we questioned the vet.

On the 1st visit for my kitten I was welcomed and treated as if he was as important as a long time patient. After just the 1 visit he's doing wonderful. I appreciate so much the kindness and expertise we received.

Friendly staff, but if ur dog has allergy troubles they’re going to charge U treatment by the pound.. so if U have a heavy dog U pay more more for allergy treatments. 150$ treatment vs the 40$ treatment at the vet in azle? This place just wants money.

These people are the sweetest, kindest souls. We had to bring my 13 year old German shepherd, Venus, in to have her put down as she could barely get around anymore due to painful arthritis. The staff at Lake Worth Animal Clinic was so kind and gentle with her (and with us, quite frankly) that I don't know that I would trust anyone else to help my pets out in their last moments. They took their time. The vet sat on the floor with us. She let Venus lay her head on her all the way until it was over, and then she placed her head ever so gently on the blanket. She let us know that we could take as long as we wanted/needed with Venus and that there was no rush for us to leave, which felt comforting because it gave us time to grieve and say our goodbyes, remove her collar, etc. Like I said, we were all treated so respectfully - even Venus in her last moments. Love this staff.

So very pleased with Lake Worth Animal Clinic! They are so sweet and concerned with the health of our little Morkie Pickle. When we took her in our Vet did not stop until he was sure of the diagnosis. It turns out she has Addison's disease. I was so afraid it was terminal but was assured we could bring it under control with the right meds. Needless to say they saved her little 2 year old life! These people really care!!!

I brought my beagle in today to be seen for her neck issues, which a lot of beagles have problems with their backs and neck. I called everywhere before my appointment to find a doctor that is more like an animal chiropractor.. I called about 30 veterinarians in the DFW area. And I found that Lake Worth animal clinic was the only one that can provide this specific service for our beloved Beagle. I also have been to other veterinarians in the past, and I have never had this level of care. The doctors at this veterinarian are caring and truly want to help. Lake Worth animal clinic is by far the best veterinarian I have ever been to don’t hesitate to bring your animal here.
