I didnt adopt a dog from this location, I adopted one from an adoption event. One of the girls that I met at the Benbrook location helped me out at the adoption event, helped to view a dog, and I was able to adopt and bring my pup home within minutes Adopt, don't shop!!!

Asked the 3rd person about one of the cats that I was very interested in adopting. They all just said there was no one there to help me and that I could not see the cat in person. Not sure what the procedure is for adoption, but at least the associates should have enough info to direct interested customers. Not sure how they ever get adopted...

I adopted a cat from the mega adoption event held at Will Rogers Center. I was in line for over an hour to view available pets. And while some people working the event seemed knowledgeable about the animals, most were not. Many of the cats were kept in cages in the 96° heat and were brought into the cool only a few at a time. The ones being brought in were suffering from heat exhaustion and were throwing up and had diarrhea. I was quiet horrified at the conditions. I chose a yr old cat after reading her info on paper. I was told she was declawed, and was okay around dogs and children. None of that was true. When I got her home she attacked my chihuahua and scratched her. And while she is very sweet and lovable to adults, I am having to teach her not to fear my preschool age niece or my chihuahua, who won't harm cats. It would have been nice to know from the beginning that she was fearful or stressed around dogs or kids. Instead of being lied to. Reguardless, we still love her, and will keep her. We will just have to work with her on her issues.

They don't know the information, they lied to you and misinform you so you'll adopt a pet so they can move them. Please, go to a shelter for a nonprofit organization that helps find homes for pets. Someplace that rescues them and fosters them and takes care of them and so you can adopt them
