Excellent place to visit. You need a whole day to see every aspect of the garden.

I only visited an area for small events, something like presentations and the room I was in is very nice and the sound was adapted and the event went very well. I understand that they have another room available for the same day! Maybe it will help you consider it in the future. By the way, an employee at the place was attentive to making sure everything went well, that was excellent ?! The event we had was to remember the death of Jesus for all of us and it was well attended.

The Botanic Garden has changed and not for the better. Used to be very open now it is very linear. They have also decided to close a lot of entrances and restrict parking. So now people with disabilities have way less options and they do not regulate handicap parking so anyone can park anywhere now.The employees are disinterested in the positions they hold and cannot be bothered to assist you either

This place is beautiful. The butterfly exhibit was great and the kids really liked it. I think that putting loud dinosaur statues in the middle of a beautiful garden is annoying. Some of the statues were very nice looking but others were a little misplaced and odd they just didn't go with the whole theme of the garden. Like having dinosaurs and Victorian statues with another statue of people playing chess and leaning against trash cans and sitting on crates was odd.

Nice. Better than a walk-in the park.

Had a great experience with friends that had never visited the gardens before. There was a little confusion with the tickets to the Butterfly exhibit but they made it right!

Was able to make it to BG the first weekend of the butterfly release.. It was only 30 minutes, and that was plenty of time to get a ton of pictures and enjoy the scene/scenery.. Check the weather if you're going to see the butterflies or anything else indoors.. We made it around the heat of the day. So it was a bit hot tamale inside.. Overall, I had a good time..(Also stopped by the gift shop) Prices not bad and they had an additional 50% Off wall!!

We had a wonderful time, it was wasn’t to crowded at the time we went later afternoon . Buy tickets online or when you arrive at the self checkout . Walking throughout the garden was easy to navigate as maps are posted all around. There’s lots for the kiddos to do, especially if they like dinosaurs. The interaction for them will be priceless. We stopped by Japanese garden cafe and meet Ms.Chloe she was very welcoming and made my day even more special! If you stopped by stop by and make her day! Can’t wait to return later in the spring when more flowers bloom!

I waited a few days before I left this review to make sure I wasn't leaving an unfair review out of emotions. I still feel the same way so I am going to share. I chose to take my daughters and granddaughters for my granddaughters birthday to the butterfly exhibit. We were SO excited. Excitement quickly turned to disappointment. It isn't as lovely as it used to be. I am a detail oriented and thought I had done enough thorough research but apparently I had not. The website states there are areas for picnics and you are welcome to bring food. We decided we would see the butterfly exhibit and then respectfully have a picnic. We were careful not to bring a wagon or anything that might damage the grass. When we arrived we were told if we wanted to picnic we would have to pay another $60 entrance fee. We decided to go see the butterflies but when we got to the entrance we were scolded by "volunteers" and told we were NOT going to bring in our backpacks. They allowed other people to take in backpacks and I really didn't understand. When I asked, every person I spoke to said they were "JUST" volunteers. Basically, they were untrained. We left our backpacks outside. Once inside my granddaughter, who is little, had to use the restroom. We were told we "might" be let back in but once again the volunteers didn't know. I think it's unfair to tell a child to hold it and holding it can be bad on the kidneys. No one said go to the restroom before you go in, or said that there weren't restrooms inside. We had never done this exhibit before. Once inside there were some nice plants, not very many butterflies. The ones we did see were beautiful but so few. Honestly, the exhibit we saw last summer in Southlake was much better than this one. The Fort Worth exhibit had big fans going and some of the "exotic" butterflies were sucked up and stuck on the fans. We weren't the only ones that told the volunteers and were greeted with Oh well, maybe they will get off of it. They were not getting off of it! They were stuck! and dying, and no compassion from anyone. It was very disturbing for the kids and us to see. The lack of knowledge, compassion and concern was shocking. The pond out front was filthy and disgusting. Why they don't take better care of these beautiful gardens I will never know. We ended up in the parking lot sitting near the car for our picnic. We made the best of it for the kids but I will not take my children back nor recommend anyone take their family. It was overall a very disappointing day.. I will say there was one, ONE gentleman there that came over while the girls were looking at the fish tank in the lobby and he was so nice, talked to them about the fish and star fish in the tank. There were a couple of older lady volunteers who weren't trying to be rude but straight up said they weren't trained properly.. Go to the zoo, go to any other place if you want see butterflies. This wasn't a good experience. Fort Worth Botanical Gardens, Do Better!
