I have visited with my dobie a few times for minor incidents- wound care and a UTI. I have consistently received friendly service and same-day appointments. Reasonably priced, but be prepared to wait 1-2 hours for the whole process- check in, private room, any labs, meeting with the vet, and checking out. Overall glad we found affordable care that is close by.

Because I can’t give zero stars. My experience:I don’t do this because I don’t enjoy criticizing people in the vet field because I worked as a vet tech for 15 years before I became a nurse, and I know how it is. That being said I have never in my life experienced what I did at this place. My cat became sick and went down hill rapidly unexpectedly, I had just come from MY vet with my dog who in fact was accidentally cut by our groomer-accidents happened they covered the bill I didn’t complain-like I said I get the animal world things happen. That is to give you a picture of the day I was having I was heading back home to bring my cat after taking to our vet since her breathing treatments were not doing the job this time. Now I have taken excellent care of my cat been to cardiologist etc but when I got home she was in respiratory distress and I could tell she wasn’t going to make it back to our vet that is not close to our house. So I called Family Pet Care because it is down the road and I told them my cat needed to be euthanized because she was suffering and I understood they weren’t my regular vet but they were closer and I didn’t want her to suffer for the longer drive. Upon arrival she had taken a turn for the worst and it was apparent she did not have much time left they started asking questions for check in-I get it they need them. They continued to ask over and over because it was so loud from dogs barking, I was struggling with my cat because she was ACTIVELY dying. Not until she tried to jump and was yowling did they put me in a room for privacy then proceeded to continue to re-ask all the check in questions. Not once did they have any forethought to go ahead and grab the doctor to help me. My cat passed away while she was still asking me what my address was. Like I said earlier I’m not ignorant in this field and I myself have had situations like this and have rushed to get a doc and to preform a euthanasia when a pet is very obviously dying and suffering. The questions could have waited, I wasn’t going anywhere. This was two weeks ago, I had the grace not to post anything or say anything because it was done and I can’t change it. Today I received a call that the private cremation and paw print I had ordered had a “mishap” they forgot to put the order for the paw print, but would happily refund me for it. First, yeah of course you will. Second, I know you could just apologize but realize I will never have that piece of my cat back. I have had this cat for 14 years and not only did you make her last moments for me a complete nightmare but you also messed up what peace I should have had having her back. I was extremely emotional and unable to confront them myself, I had my mother go since she was with me that day. They just apologized and said there is nothing we can do just give you a refund for the paw print. I understand apologizing, but I want a refund for that entire day. You made one of the worst days in an owners life a complete nightmare, you have the capability of a full refund you just refuse to give one. I’m posting this because no one deserves to ever experience this and I wish I would have just tried to make it to my vet instead if she was going to end up dying in my arms suffering anyways. Do better Family Pet Care.

Absolutely and awesome staff. From the very first phone call until your way out of the door they are outstanding. I would most definitely Trust these people with my pets when I did not trust others! I thank you very much and I keep up the good work!

The team at Family PetCare are awesome. There are 2 vets (1 young and 1 about 15 years older). They are so friendly. While I was dealing with a dog who could not walk at all. They assisted me in tracking down the problem and starting a plan to get Beauceephus walking again. They also continue to call me to check up on Beauceephus. So far, I've been there 3 times, and each time they call me and Beauceephus by name. This is not the 1st time I've taken animals to Family PetCare. I also took a stray that someone dumped in front of my house in July Texas heat. He had no with water or food AND locked in a cage with no way to access water! The stray was a 1-year old Australian Cattle Dog. He was chipped. The staff immediately called the owners but they said they didn't want him. Since I couldn't keep him, Family PetCare found someone to foster him and rhen a new furrever home within 36 hours of me dropping him off.In regards to prices I feel the costs are reasonable for the services you receive.?% recommend this service.

The vet himself is great but the rest of the staff are crazy. The two young girls at reception are rude and dismissive. The tech girl, who gave my dog the shots, was aggressive and crass. Sooo many inappropriate jokes. And I’m a liberal millennial! After my pet is neutered I will be finding another vet in the area. Actually maybe I should get someone else to do the neutering.

The tech's, doctor's and staff are amazing. Not often do you find people who have the compassion to get down on the floor with your pet, do examinations and make them feel comfortable and safe. Thanks to all who take such good care of our girl.

Vet tech and the vet themselves were great but there was no review of pricing for visit or immunizations needed. The Vet said they tech would go over prices when they came in to administer the shots but all she did was come in and immediately came to my kitten sitting in my lag and jabbed him with his first shot. No warning, no going over what shot it was, on pricing info just straight to it. Then when I checked out I was hit with a $235 invoice which I paid but the receptionist could not be bothered to go over it or answer any questions - she acted very put out since it was near closing time and had zero customer service skills. I asked how much my kittens follow up shots would be in a month and she told me she did not know. I think it is important customer service to let us know what you are charging and for what. And maybe act like you care about your customers

For that last 15 years we had used Banfield. We got tired of the overcharging. After being recommended by a co worker, we are so happy. The love they show to my Dachshund, is outstanding!! I’ve never seen anyone multi task like Martha at the front desk. She can talk on the phone and check someone in at the same time. THANKS for being in out neighborhood!!
