Dow Art Gallery repaired a painting by my great, great grandfather that had ripped. I was nervous mailing it off to them, but it came back beautifully packaged and amazingly well repaired. Way beyond what I expected! I now enjoy that painting every day. Very grateful to Dow Art Gallery!

Greg Dow restored the only photo of my father-in-law that we have from his younger years. It had been covered in a substance that darkened and obscured the 1932 photo. Mr. Dow was able to painstakingly clean the photo to near-original quality. Mr. Firestone died almost 41 years ago, and it is wonderful to have this reminder of him framed and on display for us to see daily. What a great talent, as well as careful patience, Greg Dow has! Thank you!

Guy meet me at front door, was not able to tell me anything about my piece of art, or where I should take it to learn more. He's no expert , he makes frames.

We took Greg Dow a 100+ year old print that the paper was very easy to tear and a few of the corners were missing. Greg was able to mount print on acid free paper and repair the missing and torn pieces. You can’t tell the repaired areas from the original. It should last another 100 years. Great work.

I inherited an oil painting from my mother from a not so well-known but very accomplished and published artist. My father smoked 2 packs of cigarettes a day. I took the painting in to re-frame and to have it cleaned.Mr Dow talked me into restoring the original frame instead of replacing it. Turns out to be a frame of the highest quality and very much worth keeping, especially because it was original to the painting. They also cleaned the painting itself from they layers of nicotine and dirt that had made it as a thin layer on its face. The depth of color revealed is sublime, and the layered brushstrokes now stand out to give dimension to the weeds and grass. More blue has revealed itself within the taupes of the landscape and the white of the thunderclouds more sharply silhouette an angry sky.I will enjoy many hours as this painting keeps me company with the memories of my youth, and I will experience the dark excitement of a coming thunderstorm as if it were my first one every time I look at it.Thank you Dow galleries.

Dow Art Galleries and owner Greg Dow are outstanding. Greg is knowledgeable and experienced. He is the best restorer of prints that I know. We use him for all of our work and trust his skills and judgement. I am totally satisfied with everything he has done. Plus it is a pleasure to visit with him and share our love of prints.

Words cannot express how much I appreciate the folks at Dow Art Galleries. I gave them a two month job and not only did they get the job done in a week but the finished product literally left me in tears of sheer joy and gratitude. These artists are masters of their craft and I will forever be a customer. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
