I have been to CVS for years. I have always been treated right. However they for some stupid reason have implemented for customers to leave a voicemail message during regular business hours and said will be called back in an hour. People have to work and can't afford to be disturbed during their work time.
CVS just called me back and it is all over CVS that they are doing voicemail messages. Apparently it's a lot easier on them but not on us customers. I may consider leaving CVS.

They really need to get rid of the automated system. Just let us speak to a person.

This is TEXAS, I should NOT have been turned away from picking up a prescription because the only ID I had was my Texas 'License To Carry Handgun'!! I repeat, this is TEXAS, this is a VALID government issued ID, and it has "DL / ID" TX # on it.
I explained over and over, my CHL has every piece ID data on it needed, everyone does NOT have a DL (I do, but didn't have with me). The woman at the window, and the pharmacist she called over, were BOTH nice. The pharmacist was actually extremely pleasant....when she too TURNED ME AWAY from getting my child's medication (thus 2 stars instead of 1). The woman also told me the customer before me had a Handgun license, and they too were turned away (well, it wasn't personal, I guess). Welcome to Texas.
I called CVS Corporate, they CONFIRMED it is in their policy and listed as an acceptable form of identification IN TEXAS. Corporate Customer Care "stressed" the CHL is a "big deal" in Texas and apologized that I (and previous customer) was turned away. Corporate called this location, while I waited to EXPLAIN CVS Corporate policy to this store.
The store employee admitted the TX DL / ID# is on the Handgun license, but that they didn't feel comfortable entering it! It's the Corporate policy in the state of Texas, therefore "this" has nothing to do with any employee's "feelings". Corporate asked that I hold a bit longer so they could escalate. After the apparent escalation, I was informed that the local store would contact their help desk, because now that it was confirmed/addressed/etc., they "didnt know how to enter the information.
That leaves me without medication, which there has been national shortages for over a year, with fingerscrossed they actually call me back. It's pretty sad that my child (and I, to a lesser degree) is penalized because an employee isn't comfortable accepting my License to Carry, (did I mention, in the STATE OF TEXAS).
Notify every state official that may even pretend to care.... right HERE in TEXAS, a pharmacy PROHIBITED a lawful citizen with legal government/state ID from getting their child's medicine, because the ID is a license to carry!
I won't mention exactly how much time I spent here. I honestly HOPE to be able to update this review to a better rating, because someone calls me to apologize and inform me my child's medication can be picked up with my State of Texas issued License to Carry.

The phamacy is a joke. NEVER place your prescription here. Shame on people who are working for this CVS.

Today was such a strange occurrence. I hobbled in with a boot on for my VERY painful partial ankle tear to have meloxicam filled for my VERY swollen ankle. I knew I had to walk in for a new prescription so by the time I hobble back there the pharmacist looks down at it, looks at me...and I kid you not said "I can't fill this tonight. I've got too many others. There's an Albertsons across the street or a CVS in Target". It was legit 315pm and they don't close until 8p. So....I hobbled out and over to Albertsons who had me filled in 15 mins and with much more compassion. I wasn't sure of the pharmacist name but it occurred on 4/1/24 and something should be said to her.

Went into minute clinic and told the nurse practitioner I wasn't feeling well. I told her all my symptoms and asked me what test she thinks she should run on me? I was like, in m head you're the medical profesional. Anyway, she ended up running a flu test which came out negative. Told me to just take an otc mucinex. I feel like the whole damn visit was a complete waste of time and didn't even know which lab to run on me..don't come to this minute clinic. Go to your medical doctor or urgent care is way better than this place.

I used to love this store but for a while now it just keeps declining in service. You never checkout without hunting someone down in the store. When you find someone, they want you to use the self checkout. No, I don’t want to. I almost never have an experience where the self checkout works without needing assistance to check my ID or something. Now, they have even removed trash cans in front of the store… I guess they have just gotten so cheap that they can’t even provide a trash can. Instead, people have been putting trash in the shopping carts out front.

Get ready to wait all day on the slow animals at the counter to answer your phone call, that’s if you get thru the purposefully difficult answering machine process, then they won’t fill your prescription.Trash as usual, I’ll NEVER use this zoo again to fill my scripts

Pharmacy - The staff that are there are nice enough but you must go inside to the counter. Do not call. Phones are not answered. The drive thru might as well be closed. Drive thru service is extraordinarily slow at all times and on all days. They should just close the pharmacy drive thru and not offer it at all unless they can figure out how to run it even mildly effectively. Only plan to use and interface with this pharmacy if you are okay with going inside in person (no service by phone, deplorable drive thru service, only self service online) and sometimes waiting in short lines briefly…any other means of using the pharmacy will frustrate you and be a waste of your time. Fill new scripts only through your doctor’s office and get a confirmation that the prescription sent to this pharmacy from your doctor was received. Self-service phone refills are processed efficiently with a text confirmation when filled.

They never have anything in stock, they give you the number of another CVS to call and effectively tell you to kick rocks. Rude on top of it. Just a miserable business
