Since the new management took over, this unique shop no longer supports its original mission of turning donations into resources for those in need. Previously, the system was to price items affordably so they would sell quickly, maximizing the benefit to those who rely on the shop’s support. Under the new management, however, items are significantly overpriced, often matching or even exceeding prices at high-end consignment stores. Perhaps the most disappointing part is the attitude of the new manager. On one occasion, I overheard her say to a group of shoppers, "You guys should thank me because I will bring out a bunch of very nice clothes. You should thank me." This is just disheartening.

Way over priced!

I shopped here for a while but something over time changed. The prices use to be fairly reasonable but kept getting higher and then they added an expensive “boutique” section. I hadn’t gone in a long time so I decided to stop by hoping they had abandoned the crazy prices. Unfortunately the prices were even higher. Clothing prices $18, $25, and even $50 and then they have a gold dot label that exceeds $50. Considering the selection is so small it’s basically impossible to find something you like at a worth it price that is actually your size. This is not a place to get a good deal and help a cause anymore sadly.

We have shopped here for years. It used to be easy to understand and reasonable pricing for 2nd hand items. We stopped going about 6 months ago bc the pricing had pretty much tripled. Decided to go back today to see if anything has changed. Well it did change, now clothes on average are $17-24 with some up to $50. There’s so many 2nd hand shops in town, I would avoid going here and head to a more reasonable store.

Good products! Nice selection and turn over and very friendly staff! If I can’t find what I’m looking for in big box stores I know I can find it in here.
Edited from 5 stars to 3.
Seems to had a change in management or ownership. Hours of opening are all over the place. Selection has gone down hill. Nothing seems clean. Prices are outrageous now. Most things can be found cheaper in big box stores.
Knocked down from 3 to 1.
2024 and it hasn’t seemed to improve. They wanted $45 for a jacket the other day. The only time the white manager comes out is when the white TCU kids come in. I don’t even know the actual purpose of berrys anymore. The prices are higher than that of Burlington and Ross without the quality to back it’s a rip off. They’re selling fake designer bags for upwards of $50. They’re out of touch.

I used to love coming here , sometimes I would bring my kids with me but this last time I came by myself for a quick stop and I was browsing when I heard this white tall lady screaming at a mom with her kid in the cart considering the baby was crying she told her very rudely next time bring a stroller because were not responsible if he falls like as if the mom was not dealing with her child crying , very rude and unprofessional. Not the first time I heard her be rude to a customer, everyone else here are nice except her she definitely has not been here long , 2 time seeing her.

Wow, was I disappointed when I stopped in today. It’s been a while, as I used to shop here once a week and could always find great buys. Not only were items over priced, the clothing was impossible to understand. Different prices for the types of clothing, then four tiers of pricing within that. AND the more expensive items have a literal ink dot defacing the label. Why?? I loved supporting this because I thought it was a charity but left empty handed today.

We would make the long trip to donate here because they benefit a local shelter and they help those in need by providing affordable prices to all.
Today my wife made the long trip knowing that our donations would help someone in need.
Unfortunately, new management has raised prices in their store and staff was quite rude today.
Sad to say, but, after many trips bringing almost new items/clothes our son has grown out of over the years, we will not be coming back....
By the looks of the most recent reviews, this seems to be the new norm with this establishment....

I don’t really buy stuff here. I just drop stuff off in the hope that it will be used. I generally preferred to donate here because it’s supposed to be a nonprofit and unlike Goodwill. When I pulled up earlier today, and got out of my car, some older guy with a gray beard yelled at me we”re closed. I was thinking hey you still have 10 minutes so I said can I donate? And he yells at me again like he’s all irritated “we’re closed!” It’s fine if I missed the boat on donating and they want to get out of there early, but at least be courteous.
It’s also really upsetting to me all the people griping about prices because I want people that need cheap retail items to be able to get them.
I won’t donate or shop here again

New mgmt pricing things as if your shopping in Southlake! Way Overpriced items that are scratched, cracked, broken, peeling, and typical of what you’d find in the local goodwill but BGB Mgmt is pricing at $10, $15, $20 + dollars for second hand overused crap now. BGB not what it used to be and overpriced for the area shoppers. Sorry but not a pleasant shopping experience there anymore. Even the staff has stopped greeting people with smiles & hello. Mgr is rude to people questioning her about damaged items priced at $20! Store used to be busy with people and smiles from helpful staff. Not anymore. Not recommended for donating to and not recommended for shopping at anymore . It’s apparent even from the other reviews that BGB isn’t the go to place anymore.

Not the store we remember. No dressing rooms. No easy to read or understand pricing. No selection in housewares or furniture. No affordable pricing in all clothes. Used to be you could find gems and it was fun to browse, not anymore, they think they're a consignment store (sparse one.) These are donated items. No more.

Just dropped a whole car load of nice items and the 2 workers would not help me unload at all. It was raining and I kept asking if they could help. Terrible service

I had an amazing experience here all because of Theresa C. She was so helpful and friendly! I will be recommending her and the store to everyone. I will be coming back because of her service, thanks so much.
