I was going to assist myself and got caught by this nice man name Wendell, who politely informed me that I could not get my own cake and that he would help me. Lol! He put on a hair net and gloves and boxed up the cake I wanted, and the one my daughter wanted too. All with a smile!! Great customer service and even the cashier AND manager were wonderful! I sure wish the HEB we live near had these wonderful people there and all the different foods etc that my HEB doesn’t have. Seriously, we have NO friendly people at mine (Bulverde/Evans) or my daughter’s on Walzem. This store was extra clean too! Enjoyed our visit to the best HEB I have been it. Thank you Wendell!”

“It's a typical H-E-B. You'll find it very similar to the Liberty Heights H-E-B as far as the layout (but with less wine.)However, I would like to share an especially since visit I had there. I had recently been released from the hospital and was still convalescing, but needed a few staple items. Naturally, it was off to H-E-B. I grabbed my quick needs which included a carton of extra large white eggs.Now, this is a pet peeve of mine at ALL grocery and department stores, the checkout lines get ungodly hot thanks to the running electronics. Why can't they add a couple fans? Anyway, the heat crept into me and I felt woozy. Checked out, now this H-E-B has not one but THREE entrances, the center one has two double doors and some quarter games, it's its own fun little world of claw games and stickers, so yep, fresh out of the hospital my body gave way and I dropped my bags and the eggs came rolling out.One helpful employee, named Susie, was helping an elderly customer with her groceries and saw me struggling to clean up my mess. She offered to help and told me I could get a fresh carton of eggs. I thanked her and turned down the eggs and explained I was just released from the hospital and feeling not very well. Without even offering, she just told me to wait there while she grabbed another carton of eggs and brought it to me.It was very nice and heartfelt and I'm sure the kind act was nothing to her, but it meant a lot to me.”

“I normally visit this HEB before going into work. They have lots of choices for lunch meals that are far cheaper than going out to a fast food restaurant. My only wish is that they had more hot breakfast items on the line. I'm not exactly sure what I would like to see on the breakfast line. Breakfast tacos will be cool. Or maybe like a breakfast platter that you can pick up and go.”

“I came for some bread & left with a lot more than just...bread. *wink If I had to describe Central Market, I could do it in 3 words. This is the UPSCALE TRADER JOES. Maybe even Whole Foods on some level. Don't expect this to meet your expectations for your local HEB. It won't. That said, it's a classier, far more expensive supermarket...but the variety is OH MY GOD. Like other reviewers have stated, if you are looking for that ONE ingredient that seems impossible to find, you have a darn good chance at finding it here. Walking through the aisles, I could tell that Central Market carries QUALITY ingredients. There was many different "areas" depending on what you are looking for which made it easier to get what you need, but it was still nice to roam. We mainly came for their SOURDOUGH bread but unfortunately we didn't get the plain one. I LOVE that I finally found a place that carries ELLENOS yogurt (Marionberry is the best flavor, imo)...and I'll be back even if it's just for this particular item. All in all, I could spend a good two hours going from place to place in this market.”

“I checked out about 5pm yesterday (2/8/2024). I had 3 girls under the age of 5 who were sick of errands. My baby was screaming and trying to climb out of the cart and into my arms. I was emotionally exhausted. The cashier was a young man with black hair. He stared down my baby with an intense, dramatic look, all while checking out groceries like a ninja. She didn't know how to react and it stopped her crying in its tracks and put a smile on my face. It was a little gesture that meant a lot to this tired mom. I've only been to HEB 3 times now (new Texas resident here), I'm so impressed by the cheerful willingness to serve of the employees I've encountered and the incredible quality of the produce! He noticed I had a cracked egg and immediately went to get me a new one. Also he noticed I left an item of mine that I purchased behind and quickly brought it. “I had the best checkout experience on Monday 11/27/23. Around 5pm or so, the ladies on lane 17 were awesome. I'm a little OCD when it comes to bagging my groceries and I always put everything in the belt in order. These ladies made sure to keep everything separate, bagged perfectly! Shout-out to ladies on 17. I already spoke w manager on duty before I left, out felt I should show more appreciation!”

“Ortiz Pharmacy is our go to pharmacy. We have been using Ortiz since my son was an infant. My son's doctor is in the same building. Whenever he gets prescribed medication we just send it right over to Ortiz. When the doctor sends the prescription to Ortiz it usually takes 15-20 minutes to enter their system. I wish it was faster but that's how it goes. Sometimes I can't take him to doctor until my mother gets out of work. That interferes with the timing because they close at 7pm. The time it takes to process the meds is fantastic. Usually 10-15 minutes tops and then we are good to go. I used to receive meds thru their delivery system for over 3 years. In those 3 years never did I run into any issues. Ortiz would call my cell 5-10 minutes before they arrived. Ortiz was always on top of refills and they were never late or never missed a prescription. Oh yeah I forgot to mention Ortiz has a drive thru and always use it. That's my son after he saw the doctor. He was ill with stomach virus. So I asked him to take a picture of him feeling sick. Thank you Ortiz Pharmacy for being such a wonderful establishment.”

“After months since 7/2023 the manager had to make a personal delivery.. it’s never failed that staff here monthly blunder with my delivery having to make multiple deliveries, having drivers say they been here and haven’t. The ladies when I call to confirm my delivery they can’t seem to give the proper response it’s always inaccurate.. I had to escalate to mgr and was finally this month taken care of by management…. Ladies it’s not hard to pay attention to detail and always show customer concern with their queries. I’d never call if it weren’t warranted monthly !”

“The Managers, Clinton and Becca, helped me out with an issue I had with a purchase I made a couple of weeks ago. They was super friendly and very understanding. They really didn't have to help me, but they did. This HEB is super close to my work. I usually shop at the one in Alamo Heights, but this one is really convenient for stops during and after work. The area is a little sketchy, but the staff and security are always present and attentive. Great management and great employees!”

“I've been coming to this Pharmacy for the last 7 years and every month they been polite familiar faces the owners are really nice do you know who I am every time they see me they wave hi there ready have my medication ready you're awesome there was only one lady there. Her ethnicity was white and they gave me a partial on my prescription which was only half of my medication and everybody there knew that it was a partial the person that gave me the partial was there to tell the pharmacist that she was wrong after multiple people convincing her I got my medication but she doesn't work there no more so that's why I gave this a 5 and I'm grateful for the employees are for having my back because they knew she was in the wrong because it says partial refill and her own employees sitting there telling her I gave him this partial refill with her initials on it I brought the receipt with me I'm glad she's not there no more that's why I'm so there because of the owners more so the gentleman in the wife those two people are very kind very generous”

“My grandchild recently needed a nebulizer, during Christmas 2023. Rite Away Pharmacy came through. All the other larger pharmacies did not have it available or were closed. The staff (Pharmacist and Technician) were extremely helpful and friendly. My daughter stated they were awesome. Very disappointed as these big chain pharmacies could not meet our needs.”

“This 5 star review is for JOE the very welcoming inviting great door greeter. I feel he deserves some type of recognition and maybe even employee of the month. I had a situation where 2 items were left behind and he made me feel like a true valued customer. He has been there for years and always has a smile. I typically do curbside because of the side of town I live on, this store is always packed. On the other hand Steve and Alec both store managers were not so nice, I waited almost 25 mins for them to "check cameras" and be sure 2 items were indeed left behind. In my opinion I felt very embarrassed, ridiculed and made felt like a liar because of how I look (tattoos) I will now be using a different HEB in hopes to never feel that type of embarrassment from employees again. And yes my items were left behind.Sincerely, the girl who told y'all she manages a hotel property”
