“Obviously the price for gas here is way better. And I don't know how I feel about the one way thing. I think I'm more for it than against it. I mean it is nice to not have to back up and go around or find myself driving in circles looking for a place to pump. I just simply have to wait in line and knowing that the cars in front of me will simply pull out going the same way. The only thing that I don't like is when I get out and realize my gas tank is on the other side. I mean personally I prefer it to be on the driver side cuz getting out and walking all the way around when I'm paying with card is a little annoying. That's just me being lazy. But regardless when that happens here I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who gets the pump and stretches it across the back of my car to reach the tank. Lol”
“I love this HEB! It is quaint and small. Everything I need is here and well organized and easy to find. Great selection of wine and beer. Bakery is kind of small but it's a small HEB so it's understandable. If I need pistachio cranberry bread, almond croissants, or cannoli the Lincoln heights store AKA (the gucci-B) isn't that far away.”

“The Managers, Clinton and Becca, helped me out with an issue I had with a purchase I made a couple of weeks ago. They was super friendly and very understanding. They really didn't have to help me, but they did. This HEB is super close to my work. I usually shop at the one in Alamo Heights, but this one is really convenient for stops during and after work. The area is a little sketchy, but the staff and security are always present and attentive. Great management and great employees!”

I was told by several friends that H‑E‑B was a must-visit if I was in the area, and I can confidently say it did not disappoint. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by how clean, organized, and well-stocked the store was. The layout is intuitive, the aisles are spacious, and everything is clearly labeled, making it easy to find exactly what you need — and a few things you didn’t know you needed!
Let’s talk about the produce department — incredible. Everything was fresh, vibrant, and beautifully displayed. You can tell they take pride in offering top-quality fruits and vegetables. The meat department, though, was truly next-level. The selection was expansive and well-curated, with knowledgeable staff ready to offer suggestions and answer any questions. I picked up some steaks that were absolutely perfect — fresh, well-marbled, and reasonably priced.
One of the absolute highlights? The H‑E‑B butter tortillas. I’d heard people rave about them, and now I get it. Warm, soft, buttery perfection. Honestly, I could eat them straight out of the bag (and I did). They’re a must-buy if you visit.
Every staff member I encountered was friendly, helpful, and seemed genuinely happy to be there, which adds to the positive shopping experience. This H‑E‑B has everything you could want from a grocery store — quality, selection, service, and a welcoming atmosphere. I’ll absolutely be back, and I highly recommend it to anyone in the San Antonio area.”

If you’ve ever wanted to buy 400 rolls of toilet paper in one go and have your entire family set for a lifetime, this is your mecca. It's bulk shopping at its finest. Need 10 gallons of ketchup? They’ve got you covered. You can’t go wrong with a place where you can leave with a 55-inch TV, a gallon of pickles, and a kayak. It's like the supermarket equivalent of a treasure hunt, except every "treasure" is something you’ll use until your great-grandchildren inherit it.
Compared to its rivals (Costco, BJ’s), Sam's Club on Military Drive stands out for its clean aisles, courteous staff, and sheer sense of adventure. I’ve never felt more like I was on a secret mission—sneaking around with a cart that looks like a small spaceship, filled with bulk items and snacks I never knew I needed.
And don’t even get me started on the samples. Forget gourmet dining, I had a three-course meal of mini-pizza slices, chicken nuggets, and a protein bar. Now that's a balanced diet, my friends.
Sam’s Club isn’t just a shopping experience; it’s an event. The prices are so low, your wallet will think it's on vacation. Highly recommend for those who want to stock up on everything from hand sanitizer to giant bags of trail mix and maybe even find a few things you didn’t know you needed in the process. A+ would shop again—and possibly purchase 10 18 packs of Natural Light while I'm at it.”
“I come to this HEB about 2 to 3 times each week. Today is the first time I've had the most unwelcoming service from the cashier, Michael. Minus 1 star. Other than that this location offers decent selection, not as much as other locations.”
“I ordered to have my prescriptions delivered for free. They told me it would be about six hour wait but the delivery driver showed up about 3 1/2 hours after I called them. They're pretty quick and efficient once you receive the prescriptions you sign your signature on to his cell phone and then they leave. It's very convenient.I highly recommend using H-E-B prescription pharmacy delivery, it's great for those that are senior citizens or who is sick and can't get out of the house”
