I had to cancel my membership due to the rising costs of everything about 2 years ago.. Finally felt I could financially manage to sign back up and the prices have ballooned up astronomically! I unfortunately cannot afford a $220 membership.
I was given a free pass to try out again and boy this gym has gone down hill since I last went! It is overcrowded, the machines haven’t really updated to the TechnoGym machines like other locations, the tile in the locker rooms and showers are dirty and in disrepair, the hot tub and steam room were down for maintenance, and the interior itself is just starting to show its age. Lifetime really needs to add a location in north Texas in Denton county as well as give this place a remodel. My $9.99/month planet fitness is much cleaner and newer equipment than this location and that’s sad.

This gym use to be $75 a month and 24 hour access. Now it’s over $150 a month with no more 24 hour access. Not to mention the lack of maintenance in regard to the pool, sauna, machines, and etc.

5 year member. Multiple manager changes over that time but Jason still comes multiple times a week and Seth is awesome. Jonathan in ops is the best. Mens dressing room is always A+. Keep this team.

I have been a member of this gym for quite some time, and it used to be a great place to work out and relax. However, I’ve noticed a significant decline in the quality of the facilities and services recently, and I feel compelled to share my concerns.
Pool Closures: I recently received an email stating that both the indoor and outdoor pools are closed until further notice. The outdoor pool had just reopened after being closed for some time, and now it’s closed again. Despite these closures, the membership fees remain the same, which is quite frustrating.
Whirlpool Jacuzzi Maintenance: The whirlpool jacuzzi looks like it hasn’t been cleaned properly in a while. This lack of cleanliness is concerning, especially in a facility that promotes health and wellness.
Overcrowding: The gym has become increasingly overcrowded, making it difficult to access equipment and enjoy a good workout. This overcrowding diminishes the overall experience and makes it less enjoyable to use the facilities. Additionally, I’ve noticed children around 7 to 10 years old using equipment on the second floor, such as treadmills and bikes. The gym is already overcrowded, and allowing children who may not know how to properly use the equipment and are not really working-out only adds to the problem.
Pickleball Courts: There are not enough pickleball courts to accommodate the growing interest in the sport among members. This shortage leads to long wait times and limits the opportunity to play.
The gym used to be a fantastic place to stay fit and relax, but unfortunately, it’s not the same anymore. I hope these issues can be addressed promptly, as they are impacting the overall experience for many members.
Thank you for your attention to these matters.

Pam Williams is a very knowledgeable membership concierge - I am very grateful for the time she took to tour me without an appointment. As well as her taking the time to thoroughly explain the ins and outs of the facility and classes. - Thanks Pam

Despite paying over $200/month for a single membership, the value returned on my investment each month continuously diminishes.
It's the middle of summer, and the outdoor pool has been closed for weeks, one of the spas has been closed and drained for months, and the sauna/steam rooms have been in a state of disrepair for years. The outdoor lounge chairs are always moldy and the field is not maintained.
The barbells are bent and never in the right places, the treadmills glitch or are completely inoperable every time I use them, the towel bins are constantly full and towels are strewn about all over the gym, and no one enforces the bag policy on the gym floor. The operations team is always huddled at the laundry machines talking instead of working.
Such a disappointment as this used to be a great club. Better to go to one of their many competitors at this point.

I don't know what is happening to this location but hopefully this feedback helps. Prices keep going up but gym keeps getting worse which doesn't make much sense. Sauna and steam rooms seem to be broken at least once a month, 2nd hot tub has been out of order since March, and grass on outdoor field hasn't been mowed in months. Please start using our membership fees for basic fixes so we can enjoy the gym and not have to look elsewhere.

This place has seriously gone downhill- the people who go here have gotten downright rude, and the place feels snooty and unwelcoming (along with the insane prices). For a neighborhood gym, I expect a friendlier atmosphere but I've had too many negative interactions to enjoy my time, or even want to keep coming back. I feel like a second class citizen with the snootiness here and the scary looking men who openly ogle the women. The amenities are nice but they will never make up for the nasty people who go here, including fitness instructors who will kick you out of the communal GTX space.

This gym has a lot to offer, but fair warning if you are joining a gym for workout classes, you might want to consider other options. The class schedule is too inconsistent to build a regular workout routine, and this location really struggles notifying guests when classes are cancelled or changed. On 3 separate occasions, my class was changed last minute with no notification prior to arrival. After the 3rd time, I decided to say something. 2 employees were very sweet, but the manager Lo came off a bit condescending and didn’t offer any solutions other than suggesting I leave a review.

Natalie at Life Spa is a true star! Despite it being a Sunday night (when they're typically closed), she graciously squeezed me in for a bang trim. Her expertise and personable nature made the experience delightful. The revamped layout adds a touch of elegance, and Cooper's attention to detail with product displays and promotions is commendable. Natalie and the Life Spa team are definitely top-notch!
