Poor experience. I went in around 11 to pay for a document to be notarized. They are on my route for errands so I wanted to finally stop by. The lobby consisted of 3 employees and no customers. When I asked the teller if a notary was available he informed me I had to be an account holder. I offered to open an account and he then said I had to be a “long term” account holder. I questioned this raising of the bar and why he seemingly didn’t even want me to open an account. He then referred to his manager who was in the her office watching the exchange from the glass. She then began to double down that it was bank policy to not notarize documents for anyone that was not a “long term” account holder. I then explained to her tha this policy didn’t make sense and conflicted with notary standards. I had a valid DL, wanted to become an account holder and deposit funds into the account, and utilize their notary all in one visit. However she simply argued with me. To be honest, an empty bank that is turning away individuals who want to open accounts seems rather poor practice to me.

I've had a good relationship with Chris Haverstick at the Flower Mound Branch. I've taken out 3 loans under $500k and Chris and Sara are always quick to respond. They even got me a PPP loan within a week of the application and have given me good guidance on that. Brett and the other tellers are always friendly and I enjoy going here.

I recently had an interaction with Charles Floyed in commercial lending. I had a unique deal under $500k. I reached out to Charles and he said everything was good, quoted me and things were good. It then took him 2 weeks to get back to me and informed me that “he had been working on bigger deals and hadn’t paid any attention to me.” He then proceeded to laugh at me for the deal I was trying to do and sent me on my way. He very clearly demonstrated that he had never looked into what I asked him about and wasted 2 weeks of my time. If you’re looking to secure a commercial loan under $500k, look elsewhere. I was very disappointed with this interaction and the lack of professionalism. This is not a mad, angry review, I can handle that he didn’t loan me. Had he not given me his word, and simply looked into what I asked, and clearly explained to him, he would’ve been able to tell me “no” within the first day or two, and that would’ve been fine. I’m not upset he wasn’t comfortable loaning me. It’s the manner in which he went about doing it that lacks professionalism and you should steer clear.
