Absolutely the worst service we have ever experienced. The system doesn't work, and cant get anybody to come fix it. We tried cancelling and called several times, and cant speak to anyone or even leave a message. Save your money and go elsewhere!

Brinks Home Security has been a nightmare. We completed our original 12-month contract in 2018, but they’re now claiming we’re locked into a new 5-year contract we never agreed to or signed. Despite multiple calls asking to cancel, they refuse to end the service and keep us trapped in a bogus contract.
They won’t provide proof of any new agreement and even claimed to have a “recording” but won’t share it without a subpoena. Brinks also failed to give us direct contact email or a way to cancel, making it impossible to resolve this fairly. They did agree to send (by mail) their "Brinks 80% cancellation fee" meaning they charge you 80% of the remaining supposed 5 year contract. that if you cancel your Brinks Home Security contract before the agreed-upon term
If you’re considering Brinks, beware—they’ll hold you hostage with fake contracts and make it a nightmare to cancel.

I don’t recommend Brinks due to them having you do all of the troubleshooting over the telephone and charge you when they send out a technician,

The lady I spoke with was so helpful and kind. She walked me through a big project and was very patient and went above and beyond to assist me. I wish I would have gotten her name, she deserves a raise!!!

Brinks used to provide quality home security service. They must be broke because they have turned into a money grabbing sales company. I am counting the days to when my contract is up
A self service system that you set up yourself requires a service fee and technician if a component goes bad. They say it is a new policy.
They also do not take complaints on phone or provide escalation mechanisms. Stay far away.
Check: Surety,Vivint, ADT, Ring, or SimpliSafe. Just make sure you avoid Brinks.
Update: I received a voicemail from a rep. Called back and they were at lunch. I then missed another call (they keep going to spam) but the rep I spoke with says I need to speak with the one assigned.
Coincidentally, I received a letter about multiple false alarms (what they mean is a fault from a CO). The reason it was multiple goes to the crux of my issue — they want me to pay $30 a month plus a $75 fee for any issues with items purchased from Brinks. When I declined their “warranty” they said I cannot buy a device from them without a technician visit.
This company is a circle of chaos and dysfunction.
Update 2: Spoke with rep who couldn’t really do much other than tell me they want me to be happy but that they have changed their business plan a little bit. They also offers me a FREE virtual tech visit, if I buy equipment from them. However, their panels are $600+ when a distributor can sell it for $250-350.
I made it clear this is not the same Brinks Home I joined and that since they have been on the “brink” of financial collapse they have made more customer unfriendly moves every step of the way. They repeated their business model has changed.
They will not terminate my contract without a fee. I will just keep ensuring every issue is taken to the next level until I am satisfied or they throw me off their plan.

The Technician is everything. Knowing the product and explaining clearly all the aspects so customer knows what to do is everything. Your Twchnician was excellent
