Love the new place. Store was bright and looked neat and organized. I enjoyed getting to visit with staff and see the birds. Lots of toys and snacks to choose from.

An amazing place to adopt a bird. I went to other places to find a cockatiel before coming to see Denise. I can say in comparison to other bird shops the Cockatiels that she offers are more sociable, able to be handled, and are obviously cared for. Denise and her staff are all knowledgeable and experienced. If you’re thinking to purchase an exotic bird do yourself a favor and come speak to Denise first. She will give you the good, the bad, and the ugly. The scene is a genuine vibe of what it can be to become a bird owner.

I have been to several other bird stores in the DFW area. I found these stores very sterile and “library” quiet. The staff at these places are very “off-putting” with their “I am the expert” attitude. You cannot handle any of the birds at either of those places to determine if you and the bird are a match. At least you get to test drive a car before purchase.
In contrast, the staff at Birdiac (Denise, Errol, and Caleb) are very knowledgable about a wide variety of birds and will guide you to a species based upon your situation (home environment, your time to commit to a bird, etc.). They truly and deeply care for the animals they sell. I started out not knowing anything about a bird (and I am still learning), but they have provided me with a wealth of information and guideance.
They were instrumental in helping me with the purchase of my baby Ruby.

i went into the store and was greeted by a very sweet, welcoming, gentleman with these really cute bird earrings. he was amazing! i didnt speak to the other gentleman there, but the owner of the store (old lady with pink hair) kept saying some really bad things about the two guys there. the guy i talked to seemed nothing like what she was saying! its honestly really immature to talk about your employees like that. the lady kind of said some racist stuff too.. like im a minority, and the kinds of things she was saying were awful. i hope the other two guys find other jobs because from what i saw, they were working hard, so they dont deserve the slander. the attached picture is just a pic i took when i was there! i think his name is gordo. everything about the store was amazing, but that woman really ruined it.
edit: sure, you “love” your employees. you dont talk bad about them and say youre gonna let one go if you love them

Awful and crammed shop. Went to look as I've owned birds for years. These animals are abused and neglected. There were several that were plucking themselves because they're so stressed. There was 1 African grey that was tembling from pain and had its foot curled up. This place is negligent, and anyone who does care about their pets should not buy from here. Texas doesn't have laws to protect birds, and this is the perfect example of that. And when I voiced my concerns, I was told they're stressed because of their renovations. If you know they're stressed, put them somewhere else while you fix the store. A red macaw was chewing on a metal bolt.... Also, there's an essential oil diffuser running. Birds have VERY sensitive lungs. You're slowly poisoning them. Last but not least, if your shop smells like feces, clean the cages better. Not cover it with toxic odors.

The store was nice enough though very full. With a lot of food, a few toys, and a few stands. It was not very clean. The staff however were very off-putting. The woman who spoke with us identified herself as the owner. She spoke down about other staff, how they didn't like to clean or work, and shared her racist views. It seems like this store is taking advantage of people. She quoted an Eclectus at 7k. I responded that was super high, and her response was that people from Iran and Iraq were the cause of birds becoming so expensive. They are buying out breeders and setting their own prices because they have "oil money". A quick check on google shows multiple breeders within driving distance of Dallas who start at $1,500
She then went on a rant about how her "dirty" foreign restaurant owner next door was the source of rats in their building and how the Asian code enforcement officer with the City of Plano wouldn't listen to her and has an agenda for anyone who is not a minority.
Save yourself the trouble and make the trip to Dallas Parrots. They have a very clean and modern store, as well as a lot of care and respect for their clients and most importantly the care of their animals.

This is my new go to for bird stuff! They are truly helpful and knowledgeable. They care and it shows. Seems like other places I’ve been to are just a business. These people love what they do and it shows.

I would not trust boarding my birds anywhere else! Absolutely believe this is one of the best bird centers in DFW if not the best.
