“This is one of our favorite spots to go to when we are in town and visiting Lake Athens from Dallas. It is a hidden gem with great views, fabulous food and seriously tasty wine. Recommend calling ahead when you can. You cannot beat the view and their patio when the weather is nice. The bruschetta is great and so are their cheese boards. Most food we've ever tried has been great. Kim has helped us a few times, it's always nice to see familiar faces in the staff! Sometimes I wish they would play different music or have live music on the weekends. I recommend buying a bottle or 2 for home when you leave :) Love Tara winery!”

“The BEST venue on Cedar Creek Lake! Sunrise Point does not disappoint! Stunning views of the lake, beautiful grounds, and very chic casitas that have direct access to the water! Annie and Sue were great hosts for our work retreat and were very welcoming! Looking for a little weekend getaway without the hassle? Sunrise Point is the perfect place!
Rooms: The four Casitas were perfect! Very well designed and decorated beautifully! The sliding glass doors had the perfect view of the water!
Nearby activities: Great access to all the amenities on the water! Minutes away from the county boat launch, and close to food and and groceries!”
