I brought my 9 year old pug, Bella, in December 14th for bloody stool and mentioned I thought she may be going blind. She also needed to get up to date on vaccines. We are new to the area and needed a local vet. My impression of the vet was she was really nice and educated me about my concerns. The vet took a look at her eyes and shared she didn’t think she was blind. We had decided to do blood work, fecal test, and urine test. I was sent home with an antibiotic and supplement to sprinkle over her food. $450 total (including getting her Rabies shot). 4 days later, Dec 18th, I received a test that the fecal test came back negative. I called to ask what it was negative for and was passed to someone who could answer that but told me she could not share the bloodwork results. I kept getting told different time frames for the urine sample as well (charged for test that was never done). In the meantime, Bella was running into more things and had a lot of discharge in her eyes. When I called there I was told we would need a whole separate exam to try medicine for her eyes. I called a total of 6 times since then requesting the results of the bloodwork, always told they couldn’t share the results and they would mark it as “urgent” for a vet to get back to me. Finally on the 27th we had enough and my husband drove up to the office to see if he could get the results. They handed him the bloodwork but stated that the vet was busy and could not interpret the results. They only said there were some abnormalities and we should hear back from the vet that day. Unfortunately, my husband returned home and Bella passed. We are so heartbroken. We have been left guessing this entire time. Would have loved the results, but now we have to live with there may have been answers that would have allowed us to take further action and save her life. Instead I wonder if she was suffering. If you want to take your beloved pet somewhere you will be left guessing go here. The lack of communication and sense of urgency is so infuriating. I have never been treated so horribly. I feel they cost me my best friend. I recommend you do not trust them initially, but definitely do not wait on them for results. Save your pet and get a second opinion, don’t wait on them to decide to give you the results you paid for.

I took my elderly dog couple for the first time, who unfortunately, detest the vet/groomer/car rides/people/other animals…to Dr. Abbott at VCA. From the front office, tech and Dr. Abbott it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. They were all so kind. The prices were reasonable and they went above and beyond for my old puppies. So glad I found them!

Staff and doctor is friendly and knowledgeable. My dog doesn’t actually have to be dragged into the office like at his old vets office.

I bring all my animals here. I love the app, makes it easy to make appointments. I have boarded all three while on vacation and they have come back happy and healthy. It is a vet, they do get busy so they can't alway do URGENT care, but do day to day pet care and vaccinations, love it.

This place is great! They take care of my 4 dogs and haven’t let us down. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. They do have busy phone lines. You might have to wait. Its no big deal for quality service.

I have really lost faith in this vet. I have brought all my dogs here for years, but not anymore. I had an issue with my dog . She had a mass develop under her chin. It got big fast. I took her in, and they examined her, and her vitals were good. They could not find any infection. Did an x-ray on her jaw to see if they could see anything. Nothing. Sent me home with anti-inflammatory and painkillers. $525!!Long story short, I am not happy at all they could not figure out that it was an abscess! I ended up taking her to ER vet hospital, and they knew immediately. She is home now recovering from minor surgery. They had to drain and clean it out.

Got in for our appt at 8:27, taken back to the room and Hailey and Dr. Myers were so professional and friendly. Fran in the front office was able to take our payment in the room so that I wouldn’t have to drag my cat my child and all of our luggage back up to the front. Definitely will be back.

Thank you to the office staff and Dr Metcalf for the love and care I received when I was stressed out. The sheer awesomeness, caring nature and expedited service saved my sweet Bubba's (my cat's) life.I called letting them know that my own vet couldn't even squeeze me in, and the lady said get here as soon. They worked me in, scanned his bladder got me in patient room and told me the grave diagnosis and cost of going to an ER vet. She was almost right on the money, the cost. She quoted thst the Emergency Vet cost would probably be about $4,000 for his care to save him or euthanasia.I'm very thankful that she saved me time, money (no charge for the quick assessment), told me the best place to go... And I was on my way. Dr Metcalf also called ahead to let them know I was coming and that he was critical. I am also in the medical field, so that was appreciated.I got a very good feeling from this doctor, that she cares and that she is straight to the point. I appreciate that in a person.I was able to get an appointment for his new labs for this coming Monday.***Bonus if you buy your dog or cat food there and their pet doesn't like it they will refund your money. Also their prices are the same as PetSmart and Chewy, no shipping cost!!***

I would not recommend VCA to anyone with a pet they can't even make an appointment even though they were on the phone making the appointment with me I called to verify the appointment because the first time they said it wasn't there I called just a few minutes ago and now they say it's not there again but yet they knew my pets name and they knew my name

Ms. Kelly just help me set up account so when I was ready to schedule my cat's appointments they were both already in the system. Zero hassle with her! She was even kind enough to walk me through the pricing and different kind of exams. (NEW CAT OWNER) I appreciate her.? I feel confident in this facility now.

Treated me with respect and kindness and thoroughly tried to understand what was going on with my pet in my weak moments of fear. They gave me confidence in that they were looking out for our best interest and worked to help me understand the costs involved before they did anything. Highly recommend!
