Wonderful place to have your medicine. People that work there are very helpful and welcoming. I wouldn't want my medicine anywhere else. They even have my medicine done and ready for me in a timely manner.

Normally I support small business but I do not appreciate being told there is "plenty" of my medication in stock when in fact they have none. They're not the only pharmacy that is out of stock, but they were not transparent about their limited quantity prior to my doctor calling it in. Now I've wasted time with this pharmacy and can't get my medication.

Best pharmacy! I had prescription questions today and spoke with “the pharmacist” who answered the phone 3 different times for a good 5-10 minutes. Try that at CVS, HEB, or Walgreens!

I recently moved to Elgin, and I believe strongly in supporting small mom and pop type pharmacies. I'm very glad that my support paid off because Elgin medicine shop is an amazing pharmacy. The staff is so friendly and welcoming, they are extremely fast at filling prescriptions, never out of stock of my medication (It's a controlled substance which the big chain pharmacies seem to always understock and take days to order more) and also carry a high quality generic formulation from a respectable pharmaceutical company (again unlike the big chains which carry the cheapest generic and change it constantly to get the best price leading to inconsistent results for the patient). The best part for me though is the lack of judgment from the pharmacy staff, somebody who has chronic pain due to cancer and long-term illness like I do and requires medication for that, I'm used to the judgmental looks from pharmacy staff that assume I'm some sort of an addict. Elgin medicine shop treats me like a human being, with compassion and empathy, they treat me like any other patient picking up a blood pressure medication when I go to pick up my pain meds. It's sad how rare that is to find, but I appreciate it more than you know. Thank you Elgin medicine shop for being amazing and treating your customers with compassion and dignity

I love this pharmacy!! All of the people working here are soo very KIND and considerate! The pharmacist even looks up coupons to help me pay for some of my family's medicine!! They take the time to answer all of your questions, and you NEVER have to wait HOURS for your medicine. They get your prescriptions done in minutes!!
