One of the greatest hat places in the state. Small but they are on their way up and carry the hats people wear. These guys do some of the cleanest shaping I’ve seen as well. I will continue to get my hats from this place.

I love this hat shop and get all my hats from here. The folks who work here know me, always ask me about my horses, and always get my hat shape just right. I will never go anywhere else to buy a hat.

Some might think it’s silly but I drove 5.5 hours from Oklahoma to purchase my first hand-creased straw hat from Double R. I oversee a nonprofit summer camp in Colorado and our property sits at an elevation of ~10,500 ft. Cowboy hats provide more sun protection than a ball cap. I’ve been looking for a shop since summer 2022 but none felt right. I was scrolling on social media one day and came across Double R and instantly knew I had to go.On Saturday I made the trip down to Elgin and it completely worth it! Nate helped me find the perfect straw hat; He shaped it to not only my personal style preference but to also provide sun protection. He answered all of my questions in the most genuine way and I never felt judged for not knowing something. All of the Double R staff were extremely kind, personable, and funny. I couldn’t recommend Double R more and I can’t wait to purchase more hats in the future :)

I bought a custom straw hat. One of the nicest hats I've owned. The man who shaped it is a real pro! He's very friendly and was fun to watch him work his magic on the hat. I've got to go back and get a custom felt hat.

I’ve never left a review on anywhere i’ve gone but I had to after visiting this place! I’ve heard nothing but good things about Double R, so I came to check it out myself. Everyone there was so kind and attentive! They custom shape your hat for you and can do additional customizations as well. I got eyelets in the shape of a cross per the recommendation of one of the workers. We bought 4 hats and they all stayed late to get them shaped and put together and remained just as welcoming and friendly as they were when we arrived, they even went out of their way to find a size 8 for one of our hats! I can’t recommend this place enough! (Extra recommendation: They have Americans and their own hat brand. Get THEIR BRAND!) Thank you, Double R! We will definitely be back!

I got a gift card as a birthday gift and was excited to get a hat I have been wanting only to be told that they didn't have the hat in stocks, they can't order that hat I want and they will not hold the hat for me once it does comes in. I would rather have my money back if I can't get the hat I want. I only gave 2 stars because the staff were nice, but unable help in any way.

These were some of the most kind, caring, and honest working folks in the Hat industry in Texas. Amazing service, made me feel welcomed and were very attentive to my wants and needs in finding a new felt hat. Amazing service. The owner and his crew are 10/10.

By far my favorite place to buy a hat! Emilio & his crew are the best. They make it so easy to pick out a hat and they fit that hat to match your unique head. The new location is roomy, they are getting more and more fun products besides hats in all the time, such as cowboy coffee (I picked up some today), candles, new branded ball caps, shirts & sweatshirts. They have a nice collection of thick high quality belts in now too.
