Vista Market Doniphan is a family-owned neighborhood grocery store established in the mid-80s. It is designed to cater to the El Paso community. The store is very well stocked with bread, vegetables, quality meat, delicious prepared food, and an extensive assortment of groceries. It provides a full-service grocery store along with savory fresh baked goods and hot delectable dishes made daily. It also maintains a variety of cold deli fresh sandwiches, salads, cut fruit, and flavorful “Aguas Frescas”. Most reviews note the great customer service from helpful and kind staff. The steaks are good. However, some recent experiences with specific prepared items have been inconsistent. One customer found the chile rellenos to have tough, unroasted chiles, making them not quite edible. Another found a tres leches cake to be very dry and the worst they had tried. A third reported that the charro beans were sour, possibly from being packaged hot. Despite these specific issues, the store remains 100% recommended by many for its overall stock and offerings.
