I took my two kittens to this Veterinary Care Center to be neutered. One barely made it alive and the other passed away at the center. The doctor said he did not know what happened all the blood work came back good and there were no complications during the surgery.
After the surgery, his heart beat started to drop so they gave him two shots of epinephrine and couldn't give him anymore. His heart never stabilized.
I decided to get another kitten so I went to the animal shelter. When I explained what happened to the staff at the animal shelter about my cat passing away, the staff asked me what was the doctor's name. I told them who it was and they said that this doctor had a contract what's the state to provide neutering and spaying services but lost the contract with the animal shelter because of the amount of cats that would go in and not come back either alive or with well sutured wounds.
My family is heartbroken over the loss of our kitten. I recommend do you research if you can however in this case there was nothing written about him losing the contract. Before you get the surgery ask them what is their success rate and how many neutering or spading Services have they provided and the number of casualties from those services

I am blown away with how amazing this vet is. I was turned away from a different vet because my cat became aggressive when getting shots. This clinic got me in same day, kind, accommodating, efficient, and amazing in every way shape and form!!

Great human to dog contact. You can tell everyone truly deeply care for the animals. Dr Snyder was so sweet. He got down on the floor to make my dogs feel at ease. They loved on him. Animals know best! Great experience throughout.

I went today & spent $61 for a vet visit where it took 3 hrs. I didn’t get the meds for my dog because they said I was rude yet I waited 3 hrs to be seen for 10 minutes. They told me I couldn’t get my meds for my dog. Warning.

The staff are very friendly. Dr. Snyder literally sat on the floor with my 16 year old lab and conducted the exam there. This man has a beautiful passion for animal care. I very highly recommend this clinic.

Experienced doctor. Took fur baby to get seen due to medical issues that other vets would not operate on & told to euthanize. He. Prolonged his life. Finally had to euthanize him & the compassion & service provided during the process was like no other I had experienced. Had floral arrangements, candles, doctor said small prayer. Have had other fur babies pass and this is the first time I left with a heart full of comfort and joy. So much peace was felt. Thank you Dr. Snyder for your dedication.

I’m not impressed with this vet clinic. I had an appointment at 0930 for a simple pet vaccination, called the phone number at the door; they told me to wait in my vehicle. After waiting for 20 minutes I’ve noticed a person walking in the clinic after arriving. An hour passed and saw the customer who was there after me leaving with a printout and his pets. I decided to leave almost two hours after I got there because I have more important things to do than waste my time. I am never going back to that place.

Dr. Snyder is amazing! He truly loves what he does and he displayed that when we took in our puppy for the first time because she wasn’t feeling too well and he even got on the floor with her to interact with her just so our puppy would feel more at ease. His staff is very sweet as well and makes sure they tell you everything you need to know before you leave and answer all of your questions. I would definitely recommend the veterinary care centers if you’re looking for a new vet.

If I could have put no stars at all, I would. My heart is broken, and I'm going through tons of pain. I had gotten referred to this vet and thought it was a great idea to have her surgery done here, but I regret it from the bottom of my heart! I took her here "The veterinary care center of Texas" for a surgery because she had an abscess and two balls of mass near her back leg that needed to be removed and she ended up having to be put to sleep. The surgery didn't go as well as I thought it would. It was pretty expensive, $2000. The stiches looked very poorly put after the surgery, Dr. Snyder decided to remove her fat and just leave her skin hanging and the wound very hollow. The stiches on one of the wounds where she got surgery they came off in only two days, and I took her for a recheck, and he "Dr. Snyder denied putting new stitches to close the wound. Dr. Snyder told me it'd cure like that, but she ended up getting very ill. I began to watch she was going through pain. Something was bothering her, but I didn't know it was because of that wound he didn't get stitched up again. Then one day I decided to take her a bath and trim her hair and when I began I saw that wound was full of puss and it exploded. It was tremendously full, which I never thought was going to happen. I called this vet ASAP and got told I needed to schedule an appointment, so I did. When I went over for her appointment, he seemed like it wasn't an issue. I had to pay another $500 to get her checked and get medication that was no good for her. Dr. Synder had given her tremedol and vitamins that were a very bad choice. The vitamins were to raise her appetite, and the tremedol reduced it. I saw she was still in a lot of pain. I decided to take her to the El paso emergency center. They explained her pain to my mother and I. They told us she had gotten a horrible bone infection, it happened because the vet where she had gotten the surgery decided to remove the fat and leave her skin loose which made it impossible to cure and because it didn't get stitches to close again. She was put instantly with oxygen and IV fluid at the emergency vet clinic and was going through a lot of pain. I was dying and didn't know what else could do. I eneded up getting told it'd be best to put her to sleep, my heart tore apart she was so innocent, my baby was leaving me all because he decided not to close that wound be created for the surgery. I keep crying and crying, regretting taking her here. AVOID THIS VET! HE IS HORRIBLE. HEARTLESS. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.
