Eight weeks ago Jorge gestured me to a chair. Immediately the sales pitch began after explaining my toes were numb from hiking for a week in Merrell boots identical to what they sell though mine were not from there. “That’s a great boot,” Jorge stated.
Having plenty of experience with sales pitches I paid very close attention to the presentation. If I could sum it up in one word: canned.
Really, it was a slightly odd experience. I wouldn’t know Jorge now if I tripped over him so there’s nothing personal about my criticism, but the entire experience was distant, aloof, impersonal, and very polished. It’s designed to reach a preordained outcome and painfully obvious he’d said the same things many, many times. His first recommendation was for me to purchase the second tier of three packages on offer. If memory serves it was well above $2000. Jorge moved the pitch forward like clockwork with seemingly little deviation. If he stepped away he was sure to shove some marketing materials in my hand first. Questions were answered tersely. Every response was designed to get back on track likely for the next appointment although he’d have been happy to sell me an obscenely priced foot vibration machine.
I bought the lowest tier package for $1700+ because, sales pitch aside, I really did think it would solve my numbness problem and although laughably expensive it wasn’t going to break me. Asked POINT BLANK how long I should expect before seeing results Jorge gave a very matter-of-fact, “Between two to six weeks.”
It’s been over 8 weeks with no difference in numbness. I can’t feel my toes despite carefully following Jorge’s word.
It’s been a giant waste of money.
For $1700 you get 3 sets of plastic arch supports in three degrees of arch (strengtheners, maintainers, relaxers) supposedly matched to your feet from ‘over 300 sizes,’ according to Jorge. You also get two pairs of padded shoe inserts, a dozen velcro dots, a pair of foot sleeves, and one pair of arch support sleeves much like a very small pair of footie socks. These are to cover the ‘relaxer’ inserts for use in sandals or slippers. They have rubber spots I assume to keep the support sleeves from constantly floating around the ‘relaxer’ arch support with every step but within a day the rubber collected enough dust and fuzz to no longer be tacky, so they just slide around sloppily with every step. Not a useful product.
All of the purchase is delivered in a very slick box containing 3 separate inner boxes - one for each pair of arch supports all covered with plenty of marketing speak. Even Apple would be proud of the package design that likely costs more than the actual supports are worth. The box is dropped in a store-branded paper bag with all the other items. Your receipt, instructions, foot maps, and business card are placed in a slick folder covered with pictures of happy smiling active people quite enjoying life simply because they just spent nearly two grand. It’s as bad as drug commercials showing all manner of distracting images while they whiz through the nasty side effects.
Oh, the last thing you’re told after your card is charged is there are no refunds. Sorry, it doesn’t matter if it’s completely ineffective. As I exited Jorge said he would call in a few days to see how it was going and he’d follow up in a couple weeks. This never happened.
Look, I spent time on writing an informative review so others will have a measure of caution.
Having read through a bunch of reviews here it’s reasonable to expect a “Response from the owner” with a claim to take my concerns seriously, and asking me to reach out. Honestly unless I’m to get a refund what’s really the point? I’m not here to help them build trust or reputation. I’m here for you with an honest account of my experience. If the store wants to offer a refund they should state so in their response, then I’m happy to reach out.

I work in the medical field and this company is horrible all they care is to drain people out of their hard earned money with lies. We have had many patients crying from debt they obtained with this company and they end up with shoes and inserts that are not even custom made!!! People be aware custom shoes and inserts are to be molded from your foot not be brought from storage!!!! Sad I had to give 1 star they deserve zero.
