“Arrived to get a 16 foot box truck and a vehicle trailer and found the trailer had been taken to Albuquerque the day before. I had used my card to reserve the truck and trailer so I was very disappointed. The staff did coordinate the return of the trailer for the same day and asked me to return later that day to pick up the trailer. Bit of an inconvenience considering we are trying to move, but at least they are making it right.”

I just thought it was cool to see something from El Paso all the way in Ohio. “Transiting/moving long distance often requires a large (motor)vehicle to travel with (bulky) household goods. After being frustrated by truck unavailability at two leading rental companies, the fantastic PENSKE at 11451 Chito Samñiego came through on very short notice. I had expected at 22’ gasoline powered truck, but when I cycled to pick the unit up, I was surprised to learn that it was actually NOT available, as initially agreed, but a hefty 26foot/12’7” height diesel truck.
It’s been 40+ years since I’d last driven a diesel truck, and it was absolutely delightful in this upgraded fully automatic/extremely well air-conditioned HUGE cab. It felt great to be able to be “king of the road”, sitting well above other smaller 4-wheeled vehicles but at the same level as other 18-wheel drivers.
What I did not care for the governor, which capped forward movement at 70mph, OR the automatic braking feature that rapidly reduced the speed if too close behind another vehicle. The starboard & portside warnings were appreciated, as were the extended rear view mirrors.
When we return move, you can be sure our first choice will be PENSKE, which certainly has my coveted “iWheel of Approval!””
