PODS has a superior materiel moving system and superior people who handle the containers from origin to destination.PODS has an abysmal customer communications system that is difficult next to impossible to deal with. The website does not function well, diverting customers to telephone contact via people who cannot speak English well and do not know how to use telephones. Occasionally, one gets an articulate individual who can speak into a telephone clearly and knows what is going on in PODS. Not often enough, however.You had better be ready to have your loaded container delivery to destination delayed by days, inexplicably.

Left deep dark tire marks all over my driveway. Had to hire a professional service to clean everything up. Marks were still visable. Will never use Pods again.

I'm over a year overdue in writing this review, but I think it is very important. I moved my daughter from Southern New Mexico to Tucson, AZ for college using my truck and enclosed trailer. Several years later she graduated early (December) and asked me to move her to Wisconsin. Too cold, too far, that's a trip I did not want to take so I started looking at options. She decided she wanted to stay in Tucson for a few months with friends, but we did not want to extend the lease. I needed to move her home goods/furniture/etc. to New Mexico and hold them for 4 months and then move them to Wisconsin. PODS reviews were not great, so I called every other company out there and no one else would do a 2 part move. I read tons of reviews, noted the issues that everyone complained about and had a heart to heart conversation with the staff that answered the phone. I explained all of my concerns about the dropoff time window, parking, what direction the doors were facing and pick up time. I had to drive 5 hours to get to Tucson, brought paid help with me and needed to make sure the move went smoothly. I can tell you 100% if you plan your move to the T, communicate with eveyone involved it can and will go very smoothly. The POD was dropped off within the stated window, the driver called ahead, the POD was clean and staged correctly. When we were done, the POD was picked up in the stated window, the driver called ahead and was great to deal with. When it was delivered to my house I planned which way the door needed to face so it was loaded on the truck correctly, the driver called ahead to meet and was on time for delivery. Months later I had another great experience moving the POD from the El Paso, TX storage facility to Wisconsin where I flew to and unloaded it. Another great experience. I did put a high end padlock on the unit so I was not worried about theft and I did place an Apple Air Tag in the POD, so I was able to track it from location to location when there were cell phones around. The photos don't look like they are going to post in the order I labeled them, but there is AZ pics, NM pics and the final WI pic.The blankets, cling wrap and ropes were mine. I will also say the tiey off points came in handy.If you are on the fence about PODS, I hope this sways your opinion. I own all of the equipment to do this move, but I don't/didn't have the time.

Salesman had a very loose grasp on the English language. Estimated that I would need an 8ft and 16ft pod and said I could return what I didn’t use at no cost. I didn’t end up needing the 16 foot pod so I returned it. When I called to confirm my order, I approved the charge for the 8ft container and was assured that I would not be charged for what I didn’t use. I was then charged for the 8ft container that I used and the 16ft container that I did NOT use. Called to correct the error and the person on the phone tried to tell me that it had already been refunded (it had been 20 days since the charge and the refund hadn’t shown up on my statement). Then they corrected themselves and said the refund would be processed in 3-5 business days. I let 5 business days pass and still no refund. I called back and new person didn’t understand why I expected a refund and explained to me that the charge was for the 16ft container and storage of the 16 foot container. Again, this is the container that I did NOT use. I had to explain the situation again and still no resolution. Each time calling these people takes minimum an hour to reach a person. The convenience of not driving a uhaul is outweighed by the incompetence of this company. I will not be using their services ever again.

1) Convenience. Load and unload a storage container delivered to your doorstep at your own pace.Cons1) Once you have paid for an order you will wait 30 minutes to 1 hour to speak with customer service representatives.2) Expensive storage prices.3) Storage rates are not pro-rated. Use a container for 10 days in a "billing cyle" and get charged for a whole month.4) Lackluster customer service. I used pods to move from Texas to Northern Colorado and was given incorrect information by customer service representatives and therefore received an inaccurate quote for the move. Initially I was told the closest facility to my destination that the container could be shipped to was Aurora, CO. When requesting delivery of the container I learned that the pod would need to be shipped to a facility in Johnstown, CO before final deliver could be coordinated. This incurred additional transportation costs of $400+ that I was not quoted nor expecting.

PODs has really hurt their business model & customer service ever since they corporatized and undermined their franchises, leaving only a tiny footprint of workers to assist customers. Prepare to wait hours to speak to someone over the phone, let alone get the quick help & answers you need.HOWEVER, they found THE man in Brian Miller! Fantastic customer service, excellent pickup/delivery driver, and super hard worker! He consistently puts in the extra effort for customers, covering for the failures of Corporate PODS, and saved my evaluation and this review by his above-and-beyond service!

Good luck trying to get ahold of a POD representative on the phone. They were unable to contact the local warehouse to locate my POD.

Very positive experience! Loved the flexibility to be able to take our time loading our items and then having them picked up for storage. Our items were stored for about 9 months and everything was just how we left it when pod was delivered to our new home! The driver's were also very professional and communicated with us before their arrival.

Initial experience very good. Positioning needed to be corrected upon re-delivery. Even though everything had been secured in the pod there was still shifting and some damage to furniture and appliances, but nothing drastic. Ask in all, a positive experience and it helped my wife and I complete our move to an entirely different state.

I used PODS to move furniture from Texas to NY. The POD was dropped up, picked up, and transported in record time. It was a seamless easy process. I cannot recommend enough.

PODS are too expensive and their customer service sucks. They do not help Veterans at all and way too expensive. They overcharged me. I do not recommend PODS to anyone.

Set an appointment to get into my pods. They were ready and waiting, but I couldn’t get one open. The manager dropped what he was doing and helped me get access. Super friendly team.

Pods was the best answer for us. They picked up and hauled our stuff away to store and with a quick call brought our belonging to our new home. Great customer service and prompt pick-up and delivery.

It was my first time using PODs and I am completely satisfied. My belongings were kept safe while in storage and when the move finally happened, I didn't have to worry about picking anything up and the drivers were always very nice and accommodating.I even had to access my POD while it was in storage, and since things get moved around, the door had gotten stuck. Twice, the staff was very helpful and assisted me in getting the door opened. Awesome experience!
