Have been waiting for someone to answer the phone for more then 15 minutes... want to see if I can pick up the vehicle 8 hours ahead of time. The website it'friendly rendly to do it on my own. (I tried to do it yesterday)

BUYER BEWARE. These people and company are a joke. They added 15 bucks to a rental for booking on a short notice and not giving them a chance to find a car. So i get fined. 15 bucks a day. Horrible place. Do not rent a car in this place (Montana). They're crooks

I will never go back to this office again (Montana). I made a reservation online under a credit card I didn’t physically have and I was told by a young lady at the office to call customer service to make a change. I called and was able to make the change to the credit card I had on hand. I was given a new confirmation number. I provided everything such as D.L., credit card, car insurance and new confirmation. The young lady said the confirmation was on hold I called costumer service and confirmed that nothing was on hold everything was processed successfully and they shouldn’t show any holds or error on their end. They still didn’t give me a rental so I had to call and cancel my reservation. I was charged two credit cards and still left without a rental… I’m still waiting for Gabriel Rojas and William Smith to return my call.

Local office was friendly and helpful. It's Hertz in general that has become terrible. I discovered a bubble in the sidewall of one of the tires on my rental car. It was a huge pain to get that tire replaced, but they finally sent me to a local Pep Boys. After I returned my rental, they tacked a fraudulent $205 Roadside Emergency Assistance fee onto my credit card. I had to spend hours on the phone, both with Hertz and my credit card, to get the charge removed.

We have been Hertz customers for decades and have always received excellent service until now. We had a reservation and on Saturday December 30, we went there to pick up our rental 9am. It was 37° outside. At 8:59am I knocked on the door to see if we could wait inside to keep warm. At 9:00, "Will" the customer service agent opened the door and waited on us. 2 minutes into our transaction, he told us not to knock on the door. I asked him why not. He said "it was rude".I asked him "how is it rude?" He said "It just is". I couldn't believe he was talking to us like that. Especially in front of another customer that was waiting. He could have said "Sorry I couldn't let you inside early but it's company policy. I guarantee he would not talk to the CEO of Hertz that way.I called customer service and the phone and he apologize but said I would have to go online to file a complaint. I did the same morning but I NEVER heard a response.

There were issues with the rental vehicle, which was not a major deal, it got us where we needed and back. Where the real issue was when we returned it, they were going to charge us $400 cleaning fee for the minivan because there was sand in the vehicle (we visited White Sands NP). I had to take it myself to vacuum it out so we wouldn't get charged. I have never before had to clean a rental vehicle even after a trip like this... this policy is ridiculous.With that said, the rates were reasonable and the customer service people were friendly, but the strict cleaning policy needs to be rethought...
