Now I know. ALWAYS CHECK THE VIN for recalls on a used vehicle on the NHTSA site before purchasing. Wouldn't hurt to demand a Carfax report, either.
Sold me a money pit that needed (to start) $1300 in repairs and still left me stranded on the side of the highway twice in 24hrs... and couldn't be diagnosed or repaired by 3 different dealerships. Then I found out the other repair it needs (eventually) is over $5000 to fix and very few can/will do it. On top of that, it had an unaddressed safety recall notice on it from June 2022. (Bought it in Sept 23.)
Tried to tell me he wanted it for himself. Even had a cooler in the back, "hoping to take it on a road trip to Colorado". (I will say, he had already driven it about 1200 miles, which he did not report on the title.) Then his Dad tried to tell me the same story, as though he had wanted it for himself. Don't bother. There's a billion other ways to buy a car.

Fair prices and in house financing that wasn't bad. I drove to more than 10 different dealerships and they gave me the best deal, while being very helpful, honest, and friendly. I would definitely recommend them for anyone that might not have great credit, but doesn't want to get ripped off. Will go again if I need another car.

Very pleasant people Mr. and Mrs Ortega are the best. They were able to help get my vehicle in 1 day in less than 3 hours. I highly recommend this place if you're looking to buy a car and you do not have the perfect credit, want low down and low payments.
