Every time you walk in the door someone hands you a jar to piss in and then takes blood. And the tests are for illicit drugs. Is this a police sub-station?

The Nurse Practioner M. ALOEYI has no business is this profession. Refused to let me talk to the doctor and wants me on ibuprofen after 10 years of pain medication that work well. I have anklyosing spondylitis and degenerative disc disease. Take a hammer to your spine then tell me to take ibuprofen.

I had a procedure done at the clinic. I have Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance I have a co pay of $40.00. The following appointment they told me I owed $200.00 plus. I asked them why and I told them that I would not have had the procedure done. I feel that they should inform the patient how much it is going to cost them if it is more than the co pay. This place is just a money pit. The procedure never worked.

Been staying away from Pain Management docs for over 7 years....and my first appointment in the Northeast proved me right as to why I stayed away....The young doc came in and took over the entirety of my visit, he heard me talk but listened to nothing I said. LITERALLY! Acted as if I didn't know my body and what works to help ease my pain some. These doctors in 2022 are jokes and the younger they get the more ignorant they are...will definitely be looking for another PM doc that wants to work with his/her patient, and help me...not be kim Jung un....former nurse here.

if I could give this place zero stars I would. The office staff is so unorganized and the office manager Mercedes does not care about any of the patients who attend the center. I had to tell them how to do their job and they still would not do it when my medication was denied by insurance and not understanding that my pain level was at a 10 and I could not wait any longer for their office to give me the roundabout any longer. This is the worst pain center probably in the United States I have been to so far. Stay clear and find someone else.

This place is not good. Been here 5 times. I have been waiting for over one hour to be placed in a room. Now I'm in the room waiting another hour. I keep asking why it's taking so long and the front desk keep telling me "I don't know." I normally take a morning appointment so I can get it out of the way and go on with my day but I can't because I'm stuck there. I understand we can be swamped so I asked if I can get an afternoon schedule. It was worst. I got in at 2:44pm and it's 4:20pm and still haven't seen anyone. They close at 5. I also asked an assistant who showed up at 4:22. Why it's taking so long? I guess they are understaffed. I don't know how I would have been able to be squeezed in because there was another patient before me. I canceled. They don't seem to care about their patients. I wonder if they take so long because most of their patients are elderly. I'm not an elderly. I have pain on my shoulder due to an accident. I hope they are not taking advantage. Going to another place.

The EPPC on gateway is truly amazing and consummate professionals! From the moment you walk through the door it is evident the staff cares about the patients. Sarai checked me in and was very pleasant. Angie reviewed my paperwork and got me back to see my provider in record time and also was very accommodating in scheduling my follow up visit. FNP Aloeyi and her staff are awesome. FNP Aloeyi has a great bedside manner, listened and addressed all of my concerns while educating me on the plan going forward . Thanks to all of you for making my experience wonderful.

I would give negative stars if possible. DO NOT EVER GO HERE! On top of long wait times for absolutely no reason, you will also deal with inaccurate information in your medical record. Failing to document the appointment as it actually occurred. They continue to claim I'm on medications that they have never even prescribed me and had been on 6 months prior. Let's not forget the provider told me to stop all meds, cold turkey, because I was having serious side effects (significant limb swelling and itching/hives). After following the providers instructions I started experience severe withdrawal symptoms from the abrupt stopping of those meds. Kept calling the office where the first day they were super concerned, then nothing. The next day the information changed, "you're experiencing withdrawals from the opioid we stopped providing and youll just have to ride it out." They've never provided an opioid. I explained this and repeated what occurred. "Ma'am we aren't seeing that in your file. Since you took yourself off these medications there's nothing we can do!" Said she'd make a telehealth appointment for me to discuss why I shouldn't have done this and then hung up on me. Looked at my record today, it's filled with opioid abuser information (not a thing) and all future appointments are "terminated/not coming back" They have a LOT of elderly clients and I cannot even begin to imagine what they to do them.

This place sucks. Someone needs to manage time in the front. All of these people/clerks in the waiting area/reception can't/don't focus on what the patient is saying, nor can they make eye contact. I asked when checking in if there was paperwork that needed to be filled out, woman said, "I'll check and let you know." I could've filled out the paperwork right away (because I've been here over a dozen times over the past year) like I asked for when I came in for an 8am appointment; instead they dealt with everything else behind the counter and failed to communicate with more patients than just me. It took them 1 hour and 7 minutes for them to decide to ask me to fill out the paperwork; 1 hour and 24 minutes to get into the exam room, and 17 minutes later I'm typing this. They are making extra work for themselves and can't get out of their own way. I wish I owned this place just so I could fire the incompetent people as much as the rude ones.

At my last appointment the medical professional didn't even review my file and didn't tell me important information about a medication reaction. I always have to wait hours. And I've spent more than 2 hours on hold over the last week trying to confirm and appointment because no one answers the phone.

Horrible staff training! They had the gall to charge a $31 co-pay basically to have me waste 2 hours in the exam room to say "hi". At no time did any staff member apologize or explain that they were running late. They called me to schedule a next day appointment, then asked if I had any imaging done. After telling the scheduler that I have, she said they would request them. I asked if the next day appointment would be too soon to receive the imaging. I was told that it wouldn't be a problem. Well, it was. After waiting more than two hours past my appointment time, the doctor finally came in. No apologies for running late. When confronted about the wait,, he shrugs it off and tells me "well, I'm running room to room ". Then tells me until he sees the imaging he can't make a definitive plan. Therefore, I lightened his workload and fired him as my doctor. Initial impressions are everything.

I recently had my first appointment with Dr. DuRussel at El Paso Pain Center, east side location and I can't be more pleased. The staff were all wonderful and helpful. They were thorough and sincerely concerned about my pain. When meeting with Dr. DuRussel, he was extremely knowledgeable of pain management and very thoughtful of my quality of life. Again, I cannot express enough how pleased I am with the entire experience and I can say that I look forward to my upcoming appointment and new treatments which I hope improve my quality of life. If any staff are reading this review, I must say I am grateful for your support, kindness, and willingness to help with any concerns I had. If I do not mention the following, I would be remiss....... I must remark that before I went to my first appointment; I was very apprehensive, so I looked for reviews on this location and Dr. DuRussel. When looking through the comments, I took notice of numerous one star reviews regarding issues with wait times. I must say that I was taken aback because, if you are in as much pain as I and many others who need pain management are; then, for me, I would wait as long as I had to in order to get relief. In my experience, first appointments always take longer than others. Subsequent elongated wait times for appointments may simply be due to the fact that the doctors and nurses want to make sure that the patient receives excellent, thorough care. So, when you are being seen and the doctor takes his/her time in seeing you; it is funny how no one complains that providers were "too thorough" or "cared too much". Just something to ponder. I would recommend The Pain Center wholeheartedly. With sincerest thanks to Dr. DuRussel and all of the staff, W. Braswell

Do not come here unless you want to waste your time! I alway get the first appointment of the day (8:00 a.m.) and still wait 2 to 3 hours to see a doctor or nurse practitioner. It is now 10:08 a.m. and so I have been waiting 2 hours and 8 minutes so far. This is outrageous! I can't believe how little respect this clinic has for it's patients time. Time for a new doctor!!!

Went in for an appt today. Was an hour late. I had a full hysterectomy a few days ago. I had called 3 times prior to my surgery in which they said they would give me stronger meds which they didn't. So i go to my appt today which was a new doctor I haven't seen yet. She walked in with no introduction and said I had a breach of contract because I was discharged with meds which I had explained to her we didn't leave with them and that's why I am here. She proceeded to get extremely rude and said she will not give me any meds. Mind you I JUST had a hysterectomy! I told her she did not have to be so rude and she proceeded to walk out the door without saying anything. Her name is Haydee Fiske. I already filed a complaint with the BBB and will continue with a congressional. No veteran and no patient should have been treated this way by any means

I have been going here for a few years now , front desk staff ( all of them ) have always been pleasant and courteous - nursing staff also . Nurse Practitionsers can be up and down as far as friendly i guesd dependent upon who you get and they day just like any other business , some listen to your issues and understand you and some are more business minded and just want to get the appointment over with ( have had several meetings like that at this clinic). Well yesterday i met with a Nurse Practioner who i had never met with before and the meeting went terrible. My husband was with me ( has never been with me to this place ever before but happened to have a day off ) , and when she walked into the room i knew the meeting was off to a bad start. No smile , no handshake - just "I'm So and so " don't even remember her name ....( could find it on their page and amend here later if needed )...anyway as i said the appointment was dreadful , for one reason or another we could not get along and at one point she called me ' sweetie ' , I asked her not too , to me i felt like she was talking down to me - I'm almost 53 , she was young enough to be my daughter - she didn't like it and the hostility in the room grew. My sweet husband tried to diffuse the situation but she wasn't having any of it , so in the end she said words to the effect of ' This appointments over ' and walked out. She left her nurse in the room ( i forgot she was there ) and i turned to my husband ( should have and could have used a better choice of words and should have waited until in the car , yadda yadda yadda )...that she was a Fing Bitch....well little nurse went and told...then the office manager comes and tells me i am being discharged from the clinic because " I understand people get frustrated Mrs C, but we just cannot tollerate that language ).....all be it in a closed room , no one heard me except my husband ( the person i was talking to ) and Ms Tittle Tattle. The moral of this story is ...don't go to this clinic if you have cronic pain and need help because that's why i went yesterday, ....they will initially help you , and then when a new issue arrises they don't care , they just carry on with drawing meds like they are God. They are there to help , supposedly.....so now i have to suffer , thankyou El Paso Pain Center , thanks for nothing.
