I changed my original rating from a three to four. I interpreted the charges incorrectly. Your hospital took good care of my dog. Thank you for your service.

A very friendly and professional place. They make you and your pet feel as comfortable as possible. Thanks for what you all do for our pets and El Paso??

As far as the doctor could tell, he was probably launched from a vehicle on the Paisano highway near Executive sometime between Monday night and Thursday afternoon. He survived the fall, and managed to remain inside of an extremely small “shoulder“ of 2 feet width, where, if a car had gone even 6 inches into that shoulder, it would’ve hit him and killed him. Who knows how long he was there for…Eventually we got to the emergency pet hospital on airway blvd., where they found that his jaw had taken a high impact hit and every tooth on his right side was broken. He had some tire burn which had gouged out some flesh from one of his back legs and a punctured lung.He had to be put under anesthesia and they immediately intubated his esophagus so he could eat. They also performed jaw and tooth surgery to stabilize what was left of his jaw bone.He had been missing since Monday and only administered antibiotics, liquid, and food on Friday. There was an immediate danger of sepsis, kidney failure, and liver failure (which happens when cats go too long without calories or after high impact hits or stress). I can’t imagine the excruciating pain he felt throughout every last cell of his body...When I first saw him in this state- caked in his own blood, smelling of death, in shock - he was barely alive. He was a ghost on earth. But he still began to purr and make biscuits from relief when I pet him for the first time since he began his hellish journey. I have never felt so blessed in my life. I am so blessed to be his mother. And as a mother, I know my cat- and he hates car rides, he hates being forced to be around new people, he hates carrier crates and vets, and he can’t tolerate any pain- and he definitely does not like being powerless away from home. I can’t imagine what he went through. I can’t imagine how he has evolved in his own heart to be able to love his life in spite of this trauma… Resiliency is the miracle our lives share.…The hospital administered pain medicine before I left that night, which I was grateful for. And for two days they were able to care for his wounds and give him the life-saving medicine and food that he needed. All the while, the holy angels watched over us all and ensured his miraculous recovery. It is a gift from God that he is alive. It is a treasure that I still have my son to hold, and take walks with, and to love. Please pray for him and our family. It is also God’s grace that 2 kind ladies decided to stop and help him and care for him as best they could. My prayers were answered in the kindnesses of strangers. It is true: We all heal each other, in one form or another…God found favor in Samson’s soul. God helped him through hell. My cat’s heroic heart is like thunder and lightning- strong- and can light up the darkness…He made it home…Please pray thank you to the angels and God for watching over him. Please pray thank you to God for his healing and wholeness. Please pray for him to have a happy, free, and blessed life for as long as he lives- a life where his courageous and mighty joy and love are honored just as deep and true…When he first came home, he was purring and crying today. He was so happy it was still real- that home was still real - that hell was over… He is sleeping now, resting, recovering... finally home, free…

El paso animal emergency center is not only the most professional animal emergency that I have been to but the staff showed that they care for animals as much as I do. Helpful and understanding, they will explain everything in detail and contact you after to make sure everything is back to normal. I cannot thank them enough for the work that they do.

They treat and handled my dog like he was merchandise. 4/5 Staff was rude and emotionless as if they’re running a factory, holding an injured dog with one hand. This place has a monopoly in the emergency vet care sector locally and they not only know it, but take advantage of it. They will insist on surgical methods over conservative treatments for financial gain. They have the only MRI in town but that does not mean it is your only option. The arrogance in which they talk to their patients and customers is appalling. I was very disappointed on how our animal was held and the fact that they take them to the back without you being able to see the treatment being given or at least offered to is sickening and makes me doubt whether or not treatment was given. I do not feel the veterinary oath is truly filled out here and something tells me there is a lack of compliance and humane treatment.

Dr. Simpson, several other doctors, and Vet Techs involved in the care of my case saved my pet’s life after sustaining a critical injury. Becky from front desk was helpful in times I’ve needed to call for further information and concerns. Yes, wait times are long and prices are high, but that is the reality when your pet unfortunately requires emergency medical attention. I would only advise making sure the patient has been adequately cleaned from any blood or run-off medical/antiseptic fluid stains before being returned to the owner as these were hard to clean off. Also, the Office Managers can improve their email/phone communication attentiveness & response time. Overall, considering that this facility is likely always extremely busy saving animals’ lives 24/7, 5 stars is deserved.

the wait time here is ridiculous. if you’re having an emergency don’t even come they’ll take so long i’ve been sitting here for 8 hours trying to get a parvo test. they have yet to see my dog. they are not mindful of pet. I would not recommend this place. on top they’re unsanitary i offered to keep my dog in the car while we waited incase she did have it they said she can be in here. i did not want to infect anyone’s dogs so i kept her in the car. at this point she feels better. they also had a hard time refunding me what i paid for. In essence you’ll wait for 8 hours and still not get seen.

Perhaps they have good equipment and can address simple needs but their negligence probably will cost my pit bull her life! I was extremely hopeful after they promised to keep me informed of my dogs status, good or bad, after giving 3 bags of the wrong blood due to not having the right type. At 8 am they received cbc results which showed the blood transfusion had only helped very temporarily and was not effective and needed further treatment. Thinking they would call me if there were issues and imagining her resting peacefully I didn’t call until 10:30 am, to be put on hold for 10mins and told they’d call me back. Having not received a call back I called again an hour later and the Dr told me she needed more blood and was going to give steroids and immunosuppressants. When I asked why that hadn’t already been done as my vet had done within the first 30 mins of exam and was concerned about negligence, she said she didn’t know because she just got there, was going to have someone call me with a further estimate for continued treatment. Aaron called over an hour later (meanwhile my dog is dying) to give me an estimate of $4800-5600, over the $3800 already incurred and proceeded to hang up on me after I made it clear she needed meds asap which should’ve been done as the first line of supportive treatment. I called back an hour later to ensure he had done his job kindly asking to speak with him and he wouldn’t take my call. Spoke to someone else and again asked them if they had given her meds yet, she stated no they needed my approval first and my dog got the meds over another hour later!! Now I found paperwork proving that we had approved it with the first estimate of care when we were assured she was in the best hands. I already canceled my check and am waiting for a reply from a supervisor to discuss my concerns and get some answers before deciding whether to dispute the original charge on my credit card and taking them to court

My vet could not meet my pets needs and referred me to this clinic. I was greeted by the most caring staff who began care immediately. Within minutes the Doctor met with me took a complete history and formulated an initial plan. In no time at all, i was given initial findings and a plan of care. It broke my heart to leave her. Within hours, I recieved calls updating me on progress and recieved updates regularly. The staff was so kind every time I called about her. They were able to get her back to my sweet baby. Discharge was thorough. I could not be more pleased with the care my sweet girl and I recieved.

I walked in with my cat who was very sick and had lost a lot of weight. We told them what had been going on and they charged us $110 to only repeat back to us what we had said. They didn't bother to check anything out about him. They jumped to wanting to do xrays with no proof that they were needed to begin with. Do not go to this vet they are a waste of money and seemed to us they cared more about the money then our fur baby. We asked for our money back cause $110 to only repeat what we said is ridiculous. Don't go here.
