Total rip off, they didn't have a car reserved for me, then charged me for not cancelling my reservation. Please don't waist your time and hard earned money, they will rip you off one way or another. and you have to put at least one star to post....

They are fraudsters, they want to charge you everything they can. They don't send you the invoice and then they keep part of the deposit that you have to leave and they no longer answer

When i rented the car, the sales person didn’t give me a printed copy, she told me the total & said the invoice would be emailed to me! So I had no way of knowing the extra insurance that she charged me for. After I found out then I called several times about the insurance charges on the car rental because when i rented the car, she asked me about the insurance and I told her that we had USAA full coverage insurance and my rep said that rental cars are covered. The insurance charges cost more than renting the car daily..why would she add this on without my permission?? Unfortunately, The insurance was on the bill when the copy was finally sent to my email…but when i called CS to have it removed since I already have insurance..they said that i have to go back to the rental location and talk to them. I rented the car in ElPaso Tx and I live in Dallas Tx…i am not going back to the ElPaso location, it is 10 hours from me! It is just so strange that CS cant help you over the phone for Avis overcharging me. Truth be told, this sounds like it would be a scam..if you were telling anyone this story they would instantly think this is a scam company, something I would have never expected to happen from Avis..and this is why I wont rent from Avis again or refer anyone else!

The Kia Forte rental car itself was perfect and the initial rental process was fine. I did notice a few times over the 4 day rental that the Tire Pressure light would come on. The exact Tire Pressure information (displayed on the car dashboard) for the low tire was reading 26 pounds, the tire looked fine, and the car was driving perfect. The light would usually go off. Having cars myself that have tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS), I know that the tires will increase in pressure and decrease in pressure depending on heat etc. I even found a KIA website that says this happens from time to time and is not something to be overly concerned about.
The car was fine, but the TPMS gauge was lit when I returned the car. Josue - the check-in agent and manager (I would come to find out), noticed the light and said that I would need to fill out an incident report. I am in the military and was returning from a short 4 day pass with my wife. She was to return back home that afternoon on a flight (I wanted to see her off in the short time I had at the airport) and I had to catch a bus back to Fort Bliss. I explained to Josue the circumstances - that I was in the military, very pressed for time, and that the TPMS light had been on intermittently. Josue didn't care much and said that I absolutely had to fill out an incident report for the TPMS light being on... An incident report for a couple pounds of air? Come on - it takes 2 minutes to check a tire and fill it with air! I checked the rental agreement and it doesn't say ANYTHING about the TPMS system! Josue wouldn't budge - I asked for his manager - he said he was the manager. It's a couple pounds of air! He said we didn't rent you the car with the light on. Really? Perhaps there was a slow leak and you filled it with a few pounds of air before you gave it to me - PLUS - If I had filled it - you might not know that there MIGHT be a problem with the tire!!!! You might rent the car to the next poor unsuspecting person, who might get into an accident because - maybe - there is a problem with the tire that did need to be checked out by your rental business.
I believe that Josue, as a manager and representative of 'Advantage Rent a Car' could have completely and easily avoided this situation. I had to spend at least 10 minutes of my time to wait for Josue to fetch a blank incident report and for me to fill it out in detail - explaining that the TPMS light would come on intermittently. There was absolutely no need to hold me and my wife up! - Josue should have taken care of this himself - that would have been good customer service! If this is your policy - it really needs to change. A TPMS light should be noted and taken care of by the business! If there is a nail in the tire or something -- that could have been there from previous rentals - and may have gone unnoticed for a while. A customer filling up the tire up with air may unintentionally cover up a real problem - especially if they fail to notify the car rental business.

Read fine print when renting. el paso local residents onlu get 150 miles per day. when booking online it says unlimited miles. will be changing to another company on my next rentals. great cars and friendly staff. great for non local residents.

Awful experience, never renting from them again. They didn’t want to let me change my rental to unlimited mileage. The $.55 a mile wasn’t going to work for me, end paying more for the rental then what was said.
