I ordered windows from here in March, paid in full, in advance, & was told they’d be here in 2-3 weeks in normal circumstances, 6 at the most due to COVID. I was completely understanding. However 3 months later we still didn’t have windows, despite calling numerous times. Each time we were told “2 more weeks.”7 months later the wrong windows have been delivered twice and not once were we contacted, given an apology, offered a discount, offered a rush job after the error, or given any sort of indication that we were valued as customers. We were pretty understanding until the last month or so.When I called to request my money back, I was told “I think that’s a good idea.”

I ordered windows from here back in March. I paid in full, in advance, and was told they'd be here in 2-3 weeks in normal circumstances, 6 at the most due to COVID. I was completely understanding of this. However three months later we still did not have windows, despite calling numerous times. Each time we were told "two more weeks." It's also important to note that we were never contacted by westhoffs with an update on our order. We had to call each time to follow up ourselves. Nothing was done by their initiative to communicate with us. Finally, at the end of June (three months later) we (once again) had to be the ones to call to find out our windows were finally in. When the delivery men showed up, they were the wrong color. Mind you these windows were all custom sized windows. The delivery boys told us at that time that this particular manufacturer makes mistakes like this constantly. As you can imagine after three months of being told "two weeks," we were highly disappointed and sent them back. At this point, instead of moving our order to the front of the line as a rush job because it was their mistake, we were put back at the bottom of the stack. No acknowledgement was made of their error, no apology, and no offer to make it right in any way. Nothing whatsoever to salvage this business relationship. Again, we were told two weeks...for FOUR ADDITIONAL MONTHS. Again, we were never given the courtesy of a phone call update but had to call every two weeks ourselves to check in. For a total of SEVEN MONTHS SINCE OUR ORIGINAL PURCHASE DATE. The last several times we called, we asked about a discount or a rush order and were told by Mr. Westhoff, "The manufacturer isn't going to do that." He wouldn't even ask them or go to bat for the his customer, despite knowing our elevating frustrations, and despite us knowing this manufacturer makes mistakes on a consistent basis per his delivery men. Instead of offering to handle this for us with the manufacturer, he told us we had to keep calling him to remind him about our order, which sent the message that we were not a priority if it was our responsibility to continue to follow up. I reminded him we'd ordered windows for the entire back side of our house, spent almost $3k, and fully intended to purchase another order of that size in January to do the front side of our house, but that If this was the kind of service we could expect, we would not be doing so. His only response was, "That's your prerogative." Again, no apology, no acknowledgement or offer to make it right in any way whatsoever. Not one thing to try and salvage a business relationship with a customer who would've easily done more that $6k worth is business with him within a year. Yesterday I called once more and found out they windows had finally arrived. Today, our windows were once again delivered and once again they were incorrect. We ordered windows that had divided ones and received windows without the divided lanes. This time the delivery boys were expecting them to be wrong and and reiterated that this manufacturer makes mistakes frequently. They were hesitant to even unload them. Because my husband and I were not present, but my mother in law was, she called to confirm the color with us and never dreamed she'd need to confirm anything else. If she had known, she never would have allowed them to even be unloaded. My husband and I do our best to try to support local businesses, even if they're more expensive, but why a company would continue to do business with a manufacturer who - does not pay attention to detail, - frequently makes mistakes, - does not acknowledge them, - does not make them rush jobs upon becoming aware of their mistakes, - and offers no discount or acknowledgement is completely beyond me. How this manufacturer is even still in business at this point if this is what they're known for is also beyond me. But that's neither here nor there.
