Our child has been attending St. Matthew's for 6 school years. I personally feel the staff and teachers have been caring along the way . Lower grade level classrooms provide a teacher and an assistant which is very much needed at those levels, and at the upper level grades each subject provides a different teacher who spends equal time and importance on each subject. Students become well rounded students rather than concentrating on testing subjects only.

St. Matthews Episcopal School is a warm and friendly environment for learning, both academic and social. The curriculum is challenging and prepares the students well.Everything that the school does is "Christ-centered" it really helps the kids remember why we are here and what is the most important thing. The school has stayed small, so the kids get plenty of attention as well as opportunities to shine.Come see the beautiful environment!

St. Matthew's is truly a Treasure in the Rio Grande Valley. Our children have been attending for 5 years and our wonderful school has been essential in helping them excel academically and personally in a family oriented and spiritual environment. Our school places emphasis not only on academic success but also on the importance of community involvement, which can be seen in the many different actvities held throughout the year. St. Matthews and their staff is dedicated to helping our kids become well rounded and caring individuals while reaching their academic potential and its the reason we have chosen to call them Our School.

The best private school in the Rio Grande Valley!Choosing St. Matthew’s was the best choice we made for our children. A friend of ours had enrolled her 3 year old daughter and had nothing but wonderful comments to say about the school. When it was time for our first daughter to start school, we immediately had to check out St. Matthew’s. As a parent you are always leery if your child is ready for school or not at that age? After touring the campus, speaking with Head of School, Mrs. Cantu, (she was just wonderful, answered all my questions, very knowledge, polite and friendly), the staff and teachers are incredible, we instantly fell in love with the school. So glad we did, our daughter’s first day of Pre-K3 was amazing, she fit right in like a glove, she didn’t cry and looked forward every day to attending class. Her teachers were amazing, always answering my text and calls when needed and kept parents updated periodically with milestone pictures sent to our phones, so we wouldn’t miss a beat of our child’s achievements. Everything about this school is great, and words can’t express how much they instill great morals, values and character to our children. Second year, we re-enrolled our daughter and even enrolled our youngest daughter to the Pre-K3 Program, same effect, our girls love it and we do too! Let me mention that in the Pre-K4 program, your child will come out reading and have knowledge in Spanish. We continue to enjoy the experiences our children have gained attending St. Matthew’s and look forward to our baby starting the Pre-K2 program next year. I highly recommend you come out and tour the campus and experience the joys St. Matthew’s has to offer.

I love this school. It's small, close-knit community makes everyone - from parent to student - feel welcome and at home. The students from PK-2 to 6th grade know each other by name, and they all get along well. Its not a public school so there is no pressure from the TAKS test. No cramming. No drilling to meet some standardized test quota.

This school is a breath of fresh air. The entire staff is the most warm and welcoming group of people I’ve ever encountered at any school. I love the principles this school is founded on and my daughter enjoys going to chapel every day (our faith is important to us). The classroom setting fosters a real love for learning. Attending St.Matthews made my child feel like she was part of a family, not like the traditional school setting. I highly recommend checking out the campus and enrolling in school here.

My daughter has been going to St. Matthew's for the past year and a half and it has been an amazing experience. The small class sizes ensure that the students get individualized attention and the curriculum is second to none. My daughter has flourished in her time at the school. The loving and supportive atmosphere is what makes this school the perfect place for any child.

Our daughter attends St. Matthew's in Edinburg. She loves the teachers and the closeness she feels with all of her peers. I love the class sizes of the school and the friendliness of the staff.
