Maxwell’s Meat Market is a locally sourced, family-owned butcher shop, deli and wild-game processing establishment. It offers high-end quality meats and premium cuts, along with a wide variety of Texas-made market items. The retail store is a charming and welcoming hidden gem. It is a perfect place to stop on the way to Austin or San Antonio or a good opportunity to take a break when driving to Galveston. The food is amazing and delicious, with great flavor. Guests recommend the great sandwiches, including the lovely BLT, the pimento cheese and bacon sandwich, the burger on fresh sourdough, and the Turkey Bacon Avocado. The simple cheeseburger tastes fresh, with toasted bread and quality smoked bacon. The buns taste freshly made. Make sure to get a blueberry and lemon pop tart. The store is clean and tidy. The staff is the friendliest ever, very friendly and accommodating. The price-performance ratio for the fresh burgers is unbeatable. It is an all-around wonderful experience and a good stop with nice people, leaving visitors full and satisfied.

Great food! Stopped in while passing through, burgers were great and had banana pudding and a goats milk ice cream bar, both were awesome! Friendly staff!

Cut in last second bc the welcome hunters and burger sign. And man oh man. I will be back! That burger is up there!
