Don’t waste your time and money with these people. Have worked on my car 3 times and the same issues keep coming up. They also take forever and do not give you information when you call and ask for an update.

Very unprofessional and will lie in a minute. So far, the work done is good. I'm praying it stays that way. I never want to deal with them again. And will never recommend them to anyone except to run far and fast away from them.

I purchased the vehicle from the owner and was provided all receipts for work completed to the truck (2013 Sierra). In August of 2022, the prior owner paid over 5.5K for a transmission rebuild. I purchased the truck in Jan of 2023. The truck is now in my transmission shop of choice and guess what. The transmission was not rebuilt by Cookson's. I'm not sure what this place did, but it was not a rebuild. Oh, and my cost for a rebuild...half of what they billed.

They are very rude, especially Ashley. If you must go here make sure they truly fix everything!! If you have to take your vehicle back it'll be there for days just for a leak that should have been fixed the first time!! And make sure to check out the charges, I was told after insurance paid that u still owed nearly $800 but after calling insurance and telling cook's I called, there was a mistake in the cost and it was by $500!! I only owes $300!! Ijs....be mindful

I bought a car that had the transmission rebuilt here. The mileage of 12k miles was not passed but the 12 month was passed by a couple pf month. The owner had had nothing but trouble with the transmission from the time she picked it up. I took it to a local mechanic who informed me that the transmission was only held in place by three bolts and those bolts were finger tight. Cookson would not honor or discount the full rebuild required and charged me another 2k. FF 2 months after the rebuild and tranny is shot and required a full rebuild. We shall see the outcome. Don't use COOKSON'S!

Fraud Fraud Fraud! Do not use this company they are fraud. I took my son car there which was quoted a price to rebuild transmission for 2200.00. Once transmission was taken off they increased price to rebuild to 3700.00. I told them to leave my vehicle alone a new transmission at auto-zone for 2k they charged me 889.00 to get my car back. Vehicle was driven into location and was towed back to my home without a transmission in it because they will be rebuilding it. I asked for them to put it back like it was which they refuse to do so! It explains why so many cars on this lot because the are getting over on people! BBB will be informed! This Cookson transmission in Duncanville should be shut down!

They replaced transmission and as soon as I got the vehicle back first day, I've had nothing but issues with the transmission and other related issues they touched. They will not fulfill their warranty and this place is a complete scam. Stay away as we will report the BBB.
