We were double charged for one night and have yet to receive a refund despite multiple phone calls.
We are told they will call us back and they don’t and now when we call we are told he is not “in.”
We were in town for Doggie Days and booked two nights. On the third day we went to the front desk to pay for an extra night. They took our card and charged it but ALSO charged the card they had on file from the first two nights.
Breakfast was picked over and very limited.
Rooms were decent even though its an older place; however, your feet will turn black walking on the “wood” floors without socks. A/C worked well.
Sadly we won’t stay here again. In high school I worked here; it was the Holiday Inn before they built a new hotel on the south end of town. I worked the front desk; good memories but its definitely not the same!

Edit: after staying here for work over a month things in this review need to be changed. First there was ALWAYS issues with the housekeeping. They always forgot something or just outright skipped the room. One time after working in the heat, over 100 degrees, came back to the cleaning staff having turned the AC to the room off. The room was almost 90 degrees.
Next I was told when I booked the room that the rate I was given would be honored for my entire stay, that was a lie. And that I would not be asked to leave. That also was a lie. A large company came through and offered to pay more money a night for a bunch of rooms so the management kicked a bunch of people out of their rooms to accommodate this large company instead of being loyal to the people that had already been staying there. Forcing us to try and find somewhere else on pretty short notice when everything in town was booked full due the turnaround job going on at the Valero refinery. Then when I told them I had moved everything out and I was checking out, they said oh we can extend you if you want. No, you showed your true colors. No thanks. Id rather not give my money to you.
So to summarize, if you are going to stay a night or 2 and nothing else is available this would work. If you need anything longer, stay at your own risk. The management WILL cancel the reservation or agreement they have with you to make more money from someone else.
Not a bad place. The staff are what really make this place stand out. They truly go above and beyond to try and accommodate you, or when you have a problem to fix that problem to the best of their ability. The rooms are nice and the breakfast is pretty good. It's in a pretty good location as well. I will be staying here again if I come back here for work.

I'm not much for hotels but this one was clean. Their breakfast was good. I only stayed here because there were severe thunderstorms and I didn't want to camp in them.

They played games with the rates which I didn’t appreciate. Other than that it was okay. It’s basic accommodations and clean, that’s what you want when you crash for a night.
Rooms: Clean and basic.
Walkability: Shopping, restaurants, the State Farm guy (see the picture,lol).

This hotel was so disgusting we found a bed bug in the room underneath the bed, I think this city is just full of bed bugs in most of these hotels. Asked for a refund immediately, had to dispute it with the bank.
