Finally found an auto shop I can trust. I never doubt Ryan and his team! They are the only shop to touch my vehicles!

My husband took his truck in, knowing what was wrong with it, which he told them. He decided to take it elsewhere because the repair estimate was outrageous and he could get it for half the cost elsewhere, and they STILL charged him $175 to diagnose it…which he already told them what needed to be done. Unreal and horribly unprofessional. Do not take your vehicle here, they will price gouge you!!

Ryan and his team go above and beyond to investigate issues with your car and solve the problems. My truck was in and out of several shops for many weeks until Dripping Springs Auto took the time to find out what was really wrong and fix it. We will use them exclusively from now on. Thank you!

Switched over from Reliable Automotive in Buda to Dripping Springs Automotive because they were in my community and the ratings are great. Had them replace my brake pads and rotors. When driving the car a few days I noticed some rattling in the back. I thought it was something loose in my trunk. I checked but it still rattled and I couldn't figure out what it was until I realized when I pushed the brakes, it made a rattle noise. I checked the back brakes and discovered the brake caliper was extremely loose! I called and brought the car back on a Friday around noon which they said they would get it fixed promptly. I told them I couldn't make it back same day to pick it up before they closed, and they told me I could pick it up Monday because they were closed over the weekend. This was already an inconvenience for me not having a car Friday and over the weekend, but I needed the car fixed so I left it over the weekend. I came back Monday morning around 10:30am to pick up the car and it has not been fixed. A phone call would have been appreciated. I told them this was very inconvenient for me, as it would be for anyone. They said they ordered a bolt for the caliper which was going to be delivered within 45 minutes and said it would take just a few minutes to fix after they received it. I debated waiting, but I needed to get back to work and had my wife take me back. I'm glad I did because I didn't get a phone call until 4:30pm letting me know the car was fixed. Unfortunately, I had to pick it up the next day because I couldn't get over there in time before they closed. 2 stars for the brakes eventually being fixed, 3 stars off for the lack of communication and urgency to fix their mistake and the huge inconvenience it caused. I understand mistakes happen and they're actually nice people. The problem was the lack of urgency in fixing their own mistake and not being very apologetic for what happened. I'm sure the good ratings are true...but this experience has caused me to decide to take my vehicles elsewhere in the future.Service: Brakes

Friendly, fast service without ever making you feel pressured or uneducated about what's going on with your car. So many places when getting an oil change (esp as a woman) try to tack on tons of extra things you "also need" and they never do that here which is a breath of fresh air. If my car really needs something, they're honest and up front about it. My go to auto shop in dripping!

Our Ford Explorer developed an intermittent brake squeaking problem that was incredibly difficult to replicate, and even then, only under certain conditions, at a certain speed, with the steering wheel turned only just so in only one certain direction, and discernible by only a few certain persons. I'm mechanically proficient, but after not resolving it to everyone's satisfaction on my own, I finally brought it in to these guys.Of course, after their own multi-point inspection and test driving, they couldn't replicate the issue either. They reported that there was only 1/8s wear on all the brake components. Nevertheless, after much discussion about the implications of me bringing this vehicle home with nothing done to it and the high likelihood of aforesaid certain persons who could discern the squeaking, we agreed that the best course of action was to replace everything...rotors, pads, calipers, the whole enchilada. Expensive? Yes, but the price to pay for domestic peace...A day later, the job was complete, intermittent squeaking no longer discernible by aforesaid certain persons, all good. Everybody happy! Fast forward eight months...returning on a road trip from Dallas, the brakes had a pulsation effect when slowing for whatever reason on I35. Given the still valid full warranty on parts and labor for last year's total brake job, I took it back in for these awesome guys to check out. After a quick road test, they agreed there was an issue and we scheduled time for them to fix whatever it was. Turned out they couldn't determine where exactly the pulsations were coming from, so they replaced everything all around...all four wheels...all under warranty. Wow! Again, much happiness reigned on the domestic front! Two days later, the aforesaid certain persons reported hearing a "funny noise" again. By the end of the day, the "funny noise" grew to be metal on metal grinding. A phone call to Luke the next morning to report this resulted in a tow truck immediately being sent to our humble domicile to pick up the Explorer. By 2:00 that same afternoon, Marvin called to report that a misaligned part was found and properly aligned, the vehicle had been extensively road tested, and would I like for them to deliver it into our driveway at our earliest convenience?Again, all at no cost and covered under the original brake job warranty. Above and beyond service that is absolutely unheard of within Austin city limits, but no surprise out here in Drip. Y'all have a customer for life guys...exceptional service!
