They were gracious and patient in working with our extended warranty company. They worked under pressure to help me meet a very important timeline for repair completions. Every person I spoke to at Dripping Springs Auto was so kind and respectful. I went in for a simple state inspection and they still took the time to talk to me and make me feel comfortable while I waited. This will be my go-to place whenever I need something for my car and I will tell everybody I know how great they are!

This was my first time using Dripping Springs Auto and they did a great job all around! They were quick to get my car in, evaluated, finding and fixed my problem. They even went above and beyond by coming to my house to pick me up once my car was ready. Everyone I interacted with was very courteous and helpful, so I highly recommend them!

I brought my high mileage car in because of a noise while driving that I'd already confirmed wasn't coming from the tires or wheel bearings. Dripping Springs Automotive charged me around $180 for a detailed inspection in order to find the problem causing the noise After inspection, they reported that the noise was coming from the transmission and that both the transmission and front differential needed to be replaced. I left with a verbal quote from them for a used transmission + front differential combo with 70,000 miles and a one year warranty that they had found. I hesitated to move forward with the repair right away because they also told me that all four of my tires needed replacement, mentioning an identical tread measurement for all four tires. I knew that I had just replaced one of the tires only one month before the visit, and the other three had been replaced 6 months ago, so I opted to go back to the tire shop to get their opinion, which was that the tires were fine. I then decided to have a local oil/filter/fluids change shop top off the coolant that Dripping Automotive had told me was low, and after looking at it, the oil change shop told me they disagreed and thought the coolant level was ok. So, I took my car to a different automotive repair shop in Dripping Springs that a friend recommended, and they told me that the noise was coming from the transfer case and that it needed to be replaced and that for now at least, my transmission is fine. I finally got my car back today with the replaced transfer case, the noise is completely gone, and my car is running smoothly Dripping Springs Auto had also given me a list of other things they said needed repair or replacement - for example the rear brakes which I replaced 6 months ago and other major parts that they say are nearing the end of their life and possibly are since it's a high mileage car. I realize I am on borrowed time with the transmission as well as many other components. I am wondering why they didn't mention the transfer case as needing replacement - I can only speculate that they didn't notice it's an AWD car - but for now I'm just relieved I dodged a bullet and didn't move forward with their quotation to replace the transmission + front differential assembly. I hate to write a one star review, but them telling me that a tire I replaced one month ago has an identical tread measurement to the other three and needs to be replaced was the icing on the cake to not noticing the transfer case deterioration and charging me around $180 for that information. To avoid any confusion, their report specifically included the finding that the transmission is noisy and the recommendation.to replace it.

These folks are great to work with, very helpful and knowledgeable. Do not hesitate to give them a shot to earn your business. This is my go-to place for anything automotive related in Dripping Springs. They all have a great energy to them and will get you squared away. 10/10 would recommend.
