Nice and clean. You can smell the bleach when they clean up at the end of the day. Custom cuts of meats as you like.

We tried Vera's because other winter Texans recommended it. The rib eyes looked great, but they were really tough. Maybe I'm just used to Nebraska beef and I expect too much, but I was disappointed in how tough the steaks were. Prices were decent, the employees were all pleasant. I will check out a couple other places and if that's just how the steaks are down here then will shop at Vera's.

10/10 DEFINITELY GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM EVERYBODY AND I MEAN EVERYBODY ‼️THE BEST PLACE IN DONNA FOR FRESHNESS, PRICES, AND GOOD QUALITY MEAT. THANK YOU TO THE CASHIER WHO WENT OUT OF HER WAY TO GET ME THE MONSTER DRINK ALL THE WAY TO THE FREEZER I WAS SUPER TIRED I REALLY APPRECIATE HER KINDNESS AND SERVICE ‼️ THE GUYS AT THE MEAT DEPARTMENT ALWAYS COURTEOUS, THE MR. wonderful meats and delicious plate dinners. Ohhh, the bbq beef sandwich is spectacular. And they have the best prices on large avacados in the area. Great service, friendly people. Great shopping experience!

This use to be our to go to place for our bbq's, but you would think people would take care of their customers. My husband walked away from register to grab a pack of tortillas he had forgot. And of course I checked receipt when he got home because my husband never does when he goes alone?♀️ to his surprise they had scanned a pack of cigarettes. First of all nobody at my house smokes & I have called twice, in which both occasions I spoke to a Lupe who claimed to be the manager. I made him aware about his cashier Vivian charging for her cigarettes on our credit card, and that next time we were in the store she could just ask & I would gladly pay for her cigarettes. I gave him time & date so he could have his boss check cameras was what he advised me. I have yet to hear back from his boss Zeke, that supposedly Lupe was going to notify about the incident which happened 3 weeks ago. I clearly told him I wasn't expecting my money bank but atleast some acknowledgment that his boss Zeke was aware of the thieves they have working at this establishment

I bought 2 packs of Vera’s meat for tacos @ $3.59 lb, they were 5lb bags each on Saturday. I am struggling financially and on public assistance at the moment, but I’m trying to be a good steward and was looking for quality and affordability. I only used one bag on the day and reserved a bag to re-package for later use, upon rinsing it off as it had a lot of blood and liquid(to contribute to the weight I’m assuming) I noticed a LOT of fat and gristle and very little meat in it, I called Vera’s and spoke to the owner Zeke he commented that he sells this to his customers by ‘the pallet’. I asked him if he was comfortable with selling such low quality meat to his customers and he replied “I sell it by the pallet to them all the time!” I guess the struggling and of low means customers don’t deserve or should be grateful for the scraps and probably believes we should buy his better quality meats @$7.99 or more. I will no longer take my business to him as there are many other competitors available locally and hopefully with much better quality meats. H.E.B. And Junior’s, Aguilars, Rubens are just a few that I will now explore. Continued success for Mr. Vera on selling pallets full of low quality meats to the poor and struggling Valleyites. GOD bless

Pretty helpful people, except for the prices! Didn't expect to see fajita's went up to $15 a pound! But the roast came out great!

Great deal on the brisket sandwich. The extra large chicken wings are a great deal as well.
