I prefer going to this store over the big orange and blue stores if I can help it. More personal assistance and people who are knowledgeable. I like being handy around the house and Day's Ace helps me with the materials and the know-how. It's always good to have a neighborhood store you can rely on. They have just about everything you can need, and if they don't have it, they will either order it for you or tell you what store near by does have it.

Day's Ace is my choice for basic hardware and fundamental source for the home. Cheers, Mark F.

Fixed it. It is great to see young people like Joshua that go beyond normal customer service to find that $ 1.96 bolt that will save me from a $130 service call. Don't know how, but it always a good experience when I shop here. (Moved down the strip mall and have lots more room.)

I needed help with paint selection and I received excellent customer service from Denton County Hardware (new name), both over the phone when I called, and later in the store. The gentleman who answered the phone was quick to get another associate, who was more familiar with paint, to help me. Kyler was friendly and helpful over the phone and in the store when I arrived. He is knowledgeable and took his time to ensure I got the right products for the job. Count me in as a happy customer who will return again and again! :D

I went to Day's because it was convenient. I was so excited going in due to the fact that 4 teachers were having to share 1 key to our file cabinet at school and I was having 4 keys made as a surprise. It was a great day until I went into the store. While the young man made my keys, I went over and looked for key tags that matched our different personalities. I picked out 4 tags and placed them on the counter. When I went back over to the tags I saw there was another side to the display with much nicer tags. I picked out 4 bright colored ones and replaced them on the counter and hung the others back up on the display. The cashier raised her voice to me at the display and said, "Did you change out the tags?" I told her I had found tags I liked much better. She barked, "I already rang those up! Now I have to take them off and change to these!" I told her sorry that I was not through shopping and don't get an attitude with me. This really set her off. I walked away from the situation and talked to the young man making the keys. I asked him if it was going okay and he responded, "Why wouldn't it? They're just keys." I walked to the back of the store to buy 2 faucets and was warmly greeted by an older gentleman who was kind, patient, and informative. He is the only reason I am now giving this review 2 stars. While at the back of the store the young man came all the way to the back to "give me the new keys." I knew he was back there just to see if I was filing a complaint. I paid for my $80 worth of purchases and will go to Lowes, Walmart, or Home Depot in the future. I want to stay in my good moods.

I don't care if the store doesn't have something but they were not very polite... I said good morning twice and it's like they look right through you....
