I purchased what was supposed to be a Catnip ball, it was a ping pong ball with something like dried grass glued to it. The cat ignored it.

This place was inhumane at best, down right despicable at worst. For a store that is built around pets, they treat animals HORRIBLY. As soon as you walk in, there are neglected betta fish being sold in tiny cups(uncleaned at that, half of them were a murky yellow color). Not only that, at least 3 of them were floating upside down DEAD!! I wouldn't doubt they get put on the shelves and if unpurchased get thrown out to the back.
No passion for those poor betta fish whatsoever.
Their leopard geckos looked half starved and miserable.
If you are appalled by that, somehow it gets even worse. Their birds all have their wings clipped. Every last one.
This is downright disgusting and the people running this store should not be allowed around small animals to begin with, much less being responsible for taking care of them.
Please don't support this disgusting pet chain. Buy your supplies somewhere else.

Took my dog to get groomed and his hair is all choppy. he’s been very sleepy and non active for the past 2 days since the visit! He won’t eat or play idk what happened to him in there but he is very much traumatized.

I give it a 4 because they seem to be a bit understaffed. We had to wait quite a while just to buy some rats. The staff was really polite. It was overall a nice experience.

My review is not based on petco but on the cashier working today at cash register she was so rude and Demeanor is lazy to help and answer any questions we had she shouldn’t work at a place were you will get questions all the time ! She was super snappy and she needs to be addressed! Now I would give 5 starts to the wonderful young lady that helped us with all of our questions in regards to starting our fish tank and we thank her so much!

I’ve been taking my dog to Petco for years. We recently moved near the Denton location and booked a bath and deshedding on June 2nd. As soon as I walked in I saw the woman rolling her eyes, I assume due to how large my dog is. When she greeted us it was evident she did not want to deal with my pup. Granted he is high maintence at 125lb with long hair. However, she was EXTREMELY RUDE. I’m a nice guy and just asked a few questions about her recommendations. She answered with the same tone of frustration and rudeness. Again, I’m a friendly guy and even work in hospitality, it takes a lot for me to get worked up. She continued to be impolite and condescending the entire conversation. I ended up saying we will go somewhere else and left. Totally unacceptable, I’ve never had to do that. Will not be returning to Petco and will be cancelling my premier subscription at Petco since I’ll be looking for grooming alternatives.

It was a little crowded because it must have been truck delivery day. Otherwise it was a great shopping experience with awesome customer service.

If I could give zero stars I'd give zero stars My puppy and I went over there to get a washing And trim for her toes They knew that my dog is not a dog person.she is not good with Other dogs we get there.There's dog there my dog's gone Barks all dogs bark They refuse to see my puppy.Worst place ever will never return matter fact they need to get a better system As I was leaving, they had a Labrador that was barking. They didn't say nothing about that dog that dog went right in there and had everything it want it. Not cool at all

This is the nastiest Petco I’ve visited. The only time the shelves were stocked & it didn’t smell like BO was when corporate was in town. Major changes are required! The cat area needs cleaning!!!!

Brought my pet here because my usual location was booked. The guy at the counter was polite and checked in my dog. I had my reservations because the place smelled terribly & looked dirty. Then this rude little girl groomer came from out the back wearing a long braid with burgundy hair. First of all, she didn't even speak or anything, just had poor Etiquette. She looked down, took one look at my dog, and said, "He's going to need to be shaved."
I told her he was not matted and why she thought so with no proper accessing. ( had just had him dematted the week prior at the Vet) She never even touched him. Her response was "he has to be brushed everyday "duh". She sounded ridiculous, and I let her know she didn't know what she was talking about and left. I said "no thank you."
I was actually glad she even spoke because it was my first time at this location, and walking in the place was dirty. It smelled really stank & unsanitary. The windows were very dirty looking where the grooming takes place. The customer service from the groomer SUCKS and overall the place looks poorly ran. Imagine the treatment the animals get knowing all of this. I would NEVER EVER recommend this Petco.

Went for a simple wash and dry for my dog. They did a good job, but pricy for what was done.
