Bought my brand new Terrain on August 8th. Bryan Buckhanan was great and had everything ready for me to just sign and get going. I put down $10k of my own money to make sure to get a lower payment. Well on August 28th, my transmission went out.. On a BRAND NEW car. I called them to see what we could do about getting a loaner and getting some help. Bryan told me to call the service department and they’ll help me. My father and I called and they were complete jerks about helping us. The guy on the phone “helping” us just had attitude which did not help with the situation and he was absolutely no help besides making snide remarks. My father asked him to get someone higher on the phone. The service manager got on the phone and he was at least the most helpful by giving us GM’s number. To say this whole situation is frustrating is an understatement. I’m completely and utterly pissed off with not only GM but with the service at James Wood and how unhelpful it has been to help someone who bought a brand car now only has 2,400 miles on from the original 5 and for it to break down 2 and a half weeks later.

Brought in 2017 GMC 1500 Denali with about 54,000 miles on it for mysterious rattle/shake that sounded maybe coming from suspension. Relative had the truck and had replaced front shocks making front of truck lower so I asked for that to be corrected with Original parts. Estimate came back at $5,000 to do that and I specifically asked if they say any other issue with the truck bc I didn’t want to spend $5k on that if any other problem with the truck. I was ASSURED all else was fine so I approved the work. GUESS WHAT - that wasn’t the problem - turns out it was the torque converter which means it needs a NEW TRANSMISSION. Thanks James Wood Service YOU FAILED. Taking the truck to Anything Automotive in Denton for the repair -

Without a doubt, Gavynn Norris and Doug Spivey in the service department surpass the others I have dealt with at different dealerships. I have been bringing my vehicle to them for years and will continue to do so as long as they are there.

4 hour oil change! I knew it would take a min when I showed up and there were about 10 people in front of me. That’s fine I can understand that, but those 10 people left and about another 10 people after me all came and left. So bad that I’m the only person in the waiting room even after y’all closed for the day. I watched my truck get off the lift and drive around the dealership for almost two hours. When I asked I was told the software is being updated. When I showed up that morning I specifically told the service guy I just want an oil change, I didn’t even want the tires rotated because I was in a time crunch but y’all decided to do that also. Only 5500 on the truck… if it needed a software update that’s fine but that should be relayed to the costumer for me to decide if that’s something I’ll be willing to wait 2 hours for or if I would like to do at a later date.

I will never buy from another dealership again! This dealership is hands down the BEST! Not pushy at all, so patient while shopping around for different vehicles, knowledgeable, kind and just outstanding customer service!
