Bought a 2017 GMC Yukon XL here a few months back and so far so good. I searched and found the vehicle online and the night before I was going to travel from Louisiana to get it, it was removed from their site. I thought someone had beat me to it. I called and they couldn’t find it in their inventory and I was told they would call back with an update, but I never got a call. While traveling to Texas to look at other options the next morning my wife decided to call the original salesperson we spoke with (BJ) and he informed us that the vehicle was indeed still there and available. For some reason it was removed from online sites he didn’t know, and I’m not sure which salesman I spoke with who couldn’t locate it in their inventory. I’m just glad I got the vehicle I wanted and not a single problem yet ??

No one greeted me when I got there, they told me the vehicle was no longer on the website which I had the website pulled up . But mysteriously found the vehicle that was supposedly taken to auction . they acted like I was a bother and they didn't want to do no work and could care less if they sold anything or not guess what they didn't sell to me pitiful pitiful service. need to go clean house

Online sales team, doesn't respond. Traveled four hours away, car battery was dead, was told they were going to fix and let me look at again. They contacted me and car doesn't appear to be anywhere on their site. Communication is pretty poor.

Phillip Surles was great from start to finish. Buying a vehicle remotely can be difficult but Phillip consistently provided me with all the information and visual media to answer my questions and made my remote purchase as efficient as possible. Finding a fair and honest salesperson that, if required, is willing to advocate for his buyer is a rare find, and Phillip at James Wood AutoPark is that person! Look forward to working with him again!

Don’t buy more than three vehicles a year from this place, especially if you own a business or a military family, because the sales manager will ban your sales person from allowing you to purchase more vehicles from them. My family has purchased Escalades from this place for years and were recently told our sales lady can no longer sell us a car, thus cutting her commissions as well.

My experience was with the pre owned sales team. They could care less and acted as if I was bothering them.

Buyer beware! I’m from Houston and found a truck I wanted to purchase at JW. I reached out to JW and was told to put a $500 deposit down to hold the truck. I was told that the truck was in excellent condition and I had the salesman send me pics. Going by pics the truck looked good and true to their word. I put the $500 down and after a few days drove the 300 miles up to JW in Denton with a bank draft in hand. Upon my arrival I began inspecting the vehicle and noticed that 3 of the 4 tires were original and 8 years old. 2 tires were almost bald and one was chewed up. I drove the truck and it drove horribly with excessive vibration presumable from needing 4 new tires. I now knew that this truck had not even been inspected by JW and simply listed for sale. The truck had the oil change sticker from the Ford dealership the previous owner took it to, the tires were a disaster, the truck drove horribly, the center console was cracked, and the battery terminals and bracket were corroded and rusted. How can you even sell a vehicle lawfully that is unsafe? Why didn’t JW inspect the vehicle and replace the tires, vibration issues, patch up the cracked center console, remove the rust and corrosion from the battery, make sure it was safe, etc, before selling? I informed the salesman that I was never informed of these issues and would have to spend 1,500 plus for new tires as they were not safe to drive to Houston. I was very disappointed and upset that my salesman failed to tell me about these issues. I told the salesman that the dealership needed to replace all 4 tires so I could get home safely, or take additional money off the price of the truck and I would go straight to Discount Tire myself. The arrogant used car sales manager was very bothered by this and said he’d take off 500.00 but that was it. Like really? What a slap in the face. The managers response was “sorry no one told you about the issues.” I asked the manager if he was really going to lose a sale over his failures, being the bad tires and not telling me of the problems beforehand, and he replied “Yep.” Really?! After leaving JW to come back to Houston, the salesman called and said the manager offered to replace the chewed up tire but that was it. Another slap in the face. Buyer beware!

Don't waste your time. Was trying to purchase a used Jeep from James Wood preowned. Went thru all the back and forth to work out a deal. Sent a loan pre-approval, my DL and all my trade in info. Was assured that the vehicle was on a pending sale hold for me multiple times as I wouldn't be able to make it out for a couple days. Asked if I needed to do anything else. Usually they require a $1000 non refundable deposit to hold but was told that wasn't necessary. Lo and behold the vehicle was sold out from under me. So instead of a jeep in my driveway I now have a ding on my credit for a loan approval I no longer need for a car that's in someone else's driveway. No accountability. Just blame it on the computers. It's either laziness or incompetence. Thankfully I realized the vehicle was taken down before making the 4 hour drive to the dealership for a car they'd already sold. I highly recommend skipping this place. Lousy experience.

June 2023 Update - rating downgraded. Vehicle sold by James Wood Autopark Denton is a lemon. 2016 Ford Edge 2.0 Ecoboost with known Coolant Intrusion issues (Google Ford Edge Coolant Intrusion lawsuit). Really thought this was an honest dealership, hate that the "As Is - no warranty" card was pulled.Wendi Little is the best! Most (if not all) of the local and regional dealers play traditional dealership games and are super sleazy. I am tired of dealership games but for some reason have JWAP a try. Wendi was up front, transparent and straight forward, something extremely rare for car dealerships. Thank you again Ms. Wendi for a positive experience and promises kept!

I really appreciate John. I found out information that should have been disclosed to me verbally that, Jaun swear he told me. This insurance issue ended up costing me a lot. I didn’t appreciate how my vehicle was not cleaned correctly. I could still see the dirt and that made me uncomfortable. I had to clean the interior myself before driving off. I waited too long for the detailing crew to do their part, just to see a half done job.
