This bank is a scam .Robbed 1k from my account, my account got hacked THROUGH THEM . Denying transactions that were made , couldn’t even lock my account because they were too busy taking my money. Filed a claim and still haven’t heard from them.

We have been with this bank for several years, and they used to have decent, caring people in customer service. Now they're just wooden, spouting out policy at you, and won't lift a finger to help you out. They made sure to debit before deposit to make sure we got a NSF fee, which meant we had trouble paying our rent, over being short a few dollars. When I asked them for mercy, as we are struggling a lot right now, they told me that because it was not a bank error, they "respectfully decline" to waive the fee. I have been with this bank for about 11 years now, but now I am going to "respectfully decline" to remain a customer.

Terrible bank, don't ever use, first off I contacted them about allowing me to overdraft while I was overseas with no access to wifi/access to my account, the lady who took my complaint over the phone about this decides to cancel my card without telling me. Few days pass by and Now it's the day before thanksgiving right before I'm bout to travel to my family's to celebrate I find out the card is deactivated, so I call up, I have no card with money in my account and best thing they could do is say sorry you gotta wait till Monday, That's Bull. The first lady I talked to today tried all she was able to do and explained to me that she can't reactivate a card a supervisor could possibly do so. the supervisor didn't seem like she cared or wanted to help at all. Thanks first convenience for ruining holiday plans cause of someone's mess up.

This bank is the worst. I have an account at this bank and another bank. I was trying transfer money from one bank to another so I wrote a check to myself and deposited. I have had an account with them for 15 plus years. They put a hold on the deposit (have never done that before). I called them and told them the check has already cleared my other bank. They told me I had to have my other bank fax a letter on their letterhead confirming it cleared -- even though I had a copy of the cleared check. I am now in the process of moving all of my auto pays and deposits and this bank can kiss my .............

Worst bank everrrr STEER CLEAR DONT GET ROBBED they charged 2 34 dollar fees because a charge was attempted through my account they declined it and charged me $34 to decline a transaction I didn't even authorize I had no clue why the merchant who was attempting to charge was charging my account I rely on that money in the account to pay for my sons preschool and they left me short and unable to pay for their bogus fees will never be back

Where do I begin, there have been many reasons to leave the bank but I stay for two reasons, I need a bank that allows cryptocurrency exchanges and it's a pain to set up a new account for all bills and payments. This last one did it. I am moving my father and I, my mother passed and he wants a new start. I transferred funds from my crypto, and 2 checks from my father. The crypto hit that day, but one of my checks from my father, who I deposit his checks at least once a month for bills. It's a known person, but there has been a hold on the check for 8 days now. I finally called, since I needed the money ASAP, but luckily, I just transferred money through zelle and covered the rent and security. When I contacted them, I was told checks are subjected to 1-10 day hold. I've never encountered anything like that in the 5 years unacceptable rules and service. I asked what was the reason for the hold. There is not reason they can hold it, as per the agreement I signed. I said that's unacceptable. They said it will be in my account in 2-3 more days. They used dates, I am paraphrasing, if you want references check out my page firstconveniencebankisnotsoconvenient.com. I said there has to be a reason, then this was my favorite part, they copied and pasted me the information to dispute it and fight for the release of the funds early by writing and mailing a letter. Don't bank here. There tellers that work at the bank branches are very nice and helpful. It's banks flexing their power, and probably can't cover your funds. I'm speculating but since I have no reason given to me, I am going to picture the plot to "The Other Guys" Thank you

Worst bank ever! Local branches can't help with common banking issues. You have to call and the hold times are ridiculous, 1-2 hrs, only to get no help when someone finally answers. They either transfer to another department and you are having to hold for a long time again or they hang up on you and nobody cares to call you back. I wasted so much time trying to get them to refund $ they stole from me, yes stole. I never got any help. I ended up closing my account. Their customer service sucks. They don't care about people at all. Do not bank with them.

They placed a 2 day hold on my money after I deposited it a day earlier. The next day they added an additional week hold because they said I overdrafted by $8. I worked 138 hours for my check and now can't access it until November 18. This bank is trash!

I have been banking here since 2012. I opened up this account in Corpus Christi. The people were wonderful and so helpful. It was convenient with all the heb locations.. Now that we're in San Antonio, we have had nothing but issues. Idk ANYONE who hasn't had money issues, especially in the last 2 years. So fast fwd to today, my husband went this morning to deposit 2 checks from his father's estate. Instead of calling the issuing bank to verify the checks as a courtesy and for good customer service, they decided to put a 10 day hold on the checks. And on top of that, threw it in our faces that we've had some over drafts recently... ok? We get charged $34 for every OD. It's not like they aren't profiting from our money issues already. But this money we've been waiting for was supposed to help us get above water, you know, keep us from OD and to get us ahead. So I call the customer service department and was being helped by a lovely lady, she called my location to find out if I could get the checks back (same day, so we can take them to our other bank and have instant access)... they put her on hold. For 20ms this nice lady waited with me. She finally had to put me through on hold with the branch manager because she just couldn't wait any longer. So I am there on hold and while on hold I tell my husband to take me to the bank before they close at 6. While I'm still on hold, we get to the bank. We go in and I see the guy who finally answers and step in front of him at the counter. He apologized for the long wait he said they were busy. (Noone was in line) Anyway, I told him that I needed the money to be available or I needed our checks back. He said he needed to speak to the branch manager... (ohh the one I was supposed to be on hold with...) So he goes behind the little glass office to speak to the almighty branch manager. WE CAN SEE YOU!? I'm thinking, why can't YOU come tell me to my face what you're about to tell this other guy? Anyway he comes back to relay the message, he says they can't release the checks anymore, (oh you mean, OUR CHECKS) And if we want to go to the issuing bank and get them to write on a letterhead that the checks are cleared, then they will release SOME of the money, tomorrow. So I asked, why can't you call and verify with the bank that it's clear... I mentioned they had done this in the past for me.. "WE'VE NEVER DONE THAT SINCE I'VE BERN HERE"... You know what, thanks for proving my point even more. You're right, THIS location never has. The sweet people at the Corpus Christi HAVE. And we NEVER had this much trouble accessing OUR OWN MONEY! AT OUR OWN BANK!? Needless to say, when this money does clear, I'm taking all our money and going to a customer friendly bank. Any suggestions??

If you are looking for a bank, do yourself a favor and pass this one up! You can never get a hold of any local branches by phone, the automated phone system is a joke, you stay in the waiting queue for 30 mins to an hour then when you finally reach a live agent they normally can not help as they only know basic information then they end up transferring you to another department, after waiting for another 15-20 minutes you are send back to the automated system or the line is disconnected. If your like to use mobile deposit for the (convenience) don't waste your time they normally place a hold for (7) business days even if you are using repeat customer payments. I live over an hour from my nearest branch so most of my banking is done via app or online or through the phone system. This bank needs to take the word convenience out of the name as there isn't one thing about convenience with them. 0 stars from me. I'll be closing out my personal and business bank once I have my account resolved with missing funds and hold and unauthorized charges. I do not recommend this bank!

Worst bank I have ever used!!!!! Can never reach customer service. 4000 taken from my account from fraud, they will not refund overdraft fees, penalties, or put the money back in my account until a 6 month investigation is conducted. Cannot use Zelle.
