The tacos were great. The salsa was great. I wish they could provide some extra salsa but they straight up denied when I asked for some extra salsa. Their rice and beans were extremely bland and the rice wasn't even cooked well or it was just old frozen rice reheated.

Don't eat here, one of the kitchen food workers was sucking & licking her fingers as she was prepping several customers' food, she did it 2 times in the small time window I was there (15 minutes). When they gave me my food I turned it into the register without asking for a refund. Good thing it was all caught on camera for the management to take action.Don't eat here, one of the kitchen workers licked her fingers while preparing food for several customers, she did it twice in the short time I was there (15 minutes). When they delivered my food I handed it to the cashier without asking for a refund. The good thing is that everything was captured on camera so that those in charge could take action.

the tacos from here are so goooood i live in austin which is known for its love of street tacos -- el pariente tacos stand up to if not surpass my favorite spots there. i got the barbacoa & al pastor. i think they were out of pineapple but the meat was so good that it really wasn't amiss. not to mention, so cheap. big recommend

Expensive for what they serve and what the place looks like. I'd rather drive an extra 10 minute spend half the money.

It's a costly place. 2 dollars for one Avocado! This is a convenience store with many variety of items. No price tag. Finally at billing desk you realize the price.

A little pricy but perfect for a everything you need convenience store. I would have loved the food stand I see out there when I lived near by.This saved my roommate and when the ice storms hit the area.

Went in there and got some tacos, I asked for flour they game me corn, I asked for queso fresco and they gave me shredded cheese. You think because I'm white that I don't know the difference but that's just awful. So I went back and thoughtaybe I should give the tamales a shot. That was a mistake because instead of the olive that's supposed to be in there, it was a slice of an onion. The end was so rubbery it felt like eating cartilage. Like come on, I'm a white boy and I make better Mexican food than this y'all should be ashamed.

Everything in here is priced $2-5 more than anywhere else. nothing is labeled so you think you're going in to spend $20 and realize it's $60-85 and you'll have to put back most of what you picked out unless you're made of money. Seriously add some prices it would make the experience 10 times better. Some stuff does have the prices but 99% does not. The little restaurant in there is actually priced fairly. I paid $5 for 2 tacos and they were bomb. Don't ask for avocado, they will only put avocado on one thing and it already comes with it. There is a nice sized dining room you can go and sit while you eat. Also they sell boiled corn outside which was odd to me. I would prefer grilled corn with butter, parmesan cheese and other toppings. Even if the toppings cost extra I would buy them, however I will never buy boiled corn in my whole life. All and all I don't like this place but it's in walking distance so I get my cigarettes here which are also an extra $1.

Don't go and try to cash your checks at El Barri place inside. They try to steal your money and not only $5, they will try and steal $100 bills and say they "miss counted" and that it was a "mistake". There's an elotero outside if you want a snack. In the store there's not a lot to see or buy.
