Takes them forever to come into the room. If your animal is in distress. They will charge you more money. This has to be the most Incompetent vet office ever. They make up charges as they go. They do for inform you of charges until services are done.

The staff here are incredibly compassionate. We had to put our 4 year old cat down and they were very understanding and made sure that all of our questions were answered before we moved forward with the process. 2 weeks later, we checked the mail and we were blessed to open the sweetest card signed from all of the staff telling us how sweet our girl was and some very sentimental ink paw prints and nose prints. They did an incredible job caring for our animals and US when we were going through a very difficult time. I highly recommend for all vet needs. Cannot thank them enough for all that they have done for us and the compassion they showed us.

When we had to say goodbye to our sweet yellow lab, we knew Dr. Hill was the perfect person for the job. Sam was old - Santa brought him for my daughter 15 years ago. Dr. Hill was incredibly compassionate and explained ever step. My now adult daughter got to stay with him as long as she wanted before the procedure. When they did the injection, my daughter pet him and we all she’d a few tears. We were all welcomed to stay with Sam as long as we wanted. When my daughter was ready to say goodbye, we went outside and waited about 15 minutes. We knew we wanted to bury Sam on our farm, they presented Sam to us in a durable and very nice looking white “body bag”. It was beautiful to know he wouldn’t just be in a trash bag. About a week later, we received a condolence card from the staff and they had taken a paw print of Sam and enclosed it in the card. It hangs on our fridge to remind us of our sweet Sam. On a difficult day, Dove Creek did everything they could to make us comfortable and say goodbye the way we wanted to.

This animal hospital is AMAZING. They were so nice and respectful of my dog who has anxiety. They walked me through everything they were doing that day , and gave me an itemized list before we started any treatment. I recommend this animal hospital to everyone who has a fur baby.

My family has been coming to this vet for over 15 years. When I was 10 they saved my sweet beagle from parvo who only just passed in 2020 after a long life. They also held my hand when I cried alone in their back room as I had to put my golden retriever to sleep in 2016. I have BEEN a patient with meaningful history and thousands of dollars spent over the years. Fast forward to now. I've moved back home from college and have my dogs now. An incident happened and I needed to get my border collie seen at a TRUSTED vet that I knew would take care of him. I was told I could drop him off and come back later to get him as they could asses him between visits because busy day. Totally cool with dropping him off. Then 40 minutes later I get a call back telling me I cannot drop off my dog because I am a NEW PATIENT and new patients can't take advantage of the drop off services. I'm not a new patient. I'm offended and flabbergasted that a vets clinic that my family has been seeing for nearly the entirety of my existence could try to tell me I am a new patient. Maybe just don't tell people they can do drop off service and then decide to change your mind. It's fine though. We went to another vet in town and they took amazing care of my dog and let us drop him off even as a new patient.

The office manager and the vet are very rude. They do not put the customer first and would rather lose business than listen to the customer. I have been to several vets and have never been treated with such rudeness. If you prefer to get your pet's prescriptions filled at Costco or another pharmacy because it is cheaper do not go to this vet. The vet's exact words, "it takes away from my revenue". Wow, just wow. More concerned about their pharmaceutical revenue than keeping a good client. Annual teeth cleanings, vaccines, nail trims, etc. taking elsewhere now. They lost more than just a few extra dollars on pharmaceuticals. They tried to tell us that no vet will give us a prescription to take to another pharmacy. Funny because the vet we switched to had zero problem writing a paper prescription to have us fill it at Costco where it is half the price that the old vet was charging. The vet has a major attitude as does her office manager. Would not recommend this vet. In it for the money and not the compassion.

Not that this review will matter but at least we can get it out there for other pet parents. We found this place because the owner Lori Hill goes to the same doggy daycare we just started going to. My wife asked her for her information being new in town we needed a new vet. We called and went in for a tour with one of the employees and at that time met Lori's husband. Very nice and personable. The tour went well and the employees we met were nice and friendly. So, we scheduled an appointment for a few small things like nail trim (the worst nail trim, EVER). They cut his nails so badly that now they are all jagged, torn and crooked not to mention one is bloody. Our vet NEVER did this. The nails were always trimmed well and filed as to not snag or get caught on anything. Ridiculous. We also had his anal glands extracted, an allergy shot and check up. This morning (6/22) was the appointment. We arrived and parked. Got our fur baby out of the car and proceeded to the front of the building when an amazonian blonde woman charged from the door (scared the c**p out of us). She said we weren't allowed in and would have to go back to the car to wait our turn because the room was occupied. They must only use one room. She asked where we were parked and that she'd come get us. That should have been our first sign to leave but we thought let's see how it goes. She came out to get us a few minutes later and we proceeded to go inside. Upon walking to the door, my wife said that the other vets we visited didn't require us to wait outside and when we came for a tour the girl let us come right in. The amazonian blonde lady points and says, "everyone around here has this policy and that the girl who gave us the tour was new". She showed us to the room and as we walked by the front desk not one person said anything. 2nd sign we should have left. We got in the room and had a seat and she said she'd let the vet know we were there. A few minutes later a vet tech came in. We could see Lori Hill standing in the background. The vet tech came in and took a bit of information and the very first thing out of my mouth was that our dog has very long nail quicks so please be careful. The vet tech made a note. We told her what we were there for and she took notes. The vet tech took our boy back to get his nails trimmed and anal glands excreted. When she came back in this time with the vet. The vet wasn't Lori Hill! Lori Hill apparently couldn't be bothered to say hello or take the appointment even though that's how we came to find this place. When they brought our baby back in the room we noticed blood on the floor. We questioned it and got attitude immediately from Pagano. When we asked questions, she snipped back with "we don't know your dog so that's what we're trying to find out". What does that have to do with the blood on the floor??? So, the vet tech chimes in and says she had seen a sore between his toes and she got on the floor to look for it but that's when Pagano said she already looked and didn't see anything. Pagano then said, "he has long nail quicks and one of the toes bled. We put that clotting medicine on it and then she proceeded to put more". After they both left the room to work up our bill, we got on the floor to look ourselves and sure enough, there was the sore the vet tech had seen. We knocked on the door and told the vet tech that's where the blood is coming from. She said, let me get the vet. Pagano comes in and takes a kleenex/papertowel to wipe the blood and says...."will he let you give him an epsom foot soak? We said yes. She said do that twice a day for 5 days and put some neosporin on it! She couldn't even be bothered to clean it and do this herself!!! She says, maybe he can take an anti-inflammatory or antibiotic. We said no because he just finished a round for his other toe issue. My wife said that our last vet prescribed them. Pagano comes back with...."and you just couldn't get in with your vet

I was looking for a vet in Denton and when I called to asked for information, the receptionist was super friendly and helpful. She gave me all the information I needed and after talking with her, I made an appointment for the same day. When I arrived to the clinic, they helped me right away and put me in a waiting room with my puppy. The vet technician was very nice, she explained the exams and vaccines my puppy was going to have and gave me different options for heart worm prevention. Dr. Hill was great with my baby, she gave him a treat to make him feel more comfortable and then gave him his shots. She was very friendly and my puppy liked her since she was gentle when applying the vaccines. In general, I think the service is good, very professional and the prices are affordable. I had a very good experience and I would definitely recommend this place.
