I was recommended by a highly recommended long time local mechanic shop to get my 20 year old Tundra’s new tires aligned. In addition to the new alignment the mechanic fixed my tilt wheel. It had been stuck in the highest tilt position for over 5 years. I had several highly advertised local shops including the dealership tell me that I needed to have the entire steering column replaced. Each shop quoted me several hundred dollars cost. But Brody did the deed by just “jiggling it a bit”! I believe I have found my Muffler, Brake and Alignment shop go to.

I took my truck to Bobby Gentry's to have catalytic converters installed. Everything seemed fine until later my truck was showing a O2 sensor code. I got under there to check it out and found they left the wire laying on the forward drive shaft damaging it. I thought it a mistake until I drove my brother's truck which was just picked it up from Bobby Gentrys after having the front end replaced. I was hearing a metal scraping sound like the brake pads were gone. After inspection, I found the top bolt on the left brake caliper mounting bracket and the lower bolt of the right brake caliper mounting bracket were left out allowing the caliper to flip out of place when the brakes were applied and scrape the inside of the rim. Oddly enough now my truck is throwing a catalytic converter code. I wonder what I will find when I pull them.

If you live in the Denton area, and are not taking your vehicle to Bobby Gentry's for brakes, steering, suspension, or exhaust work, you are doing a disservice to your vehicle. I bought my truck CPO from a Ford dealer in 2016. From day one it had a low rattle constantly while driving. The dealer said it needed struts & strut mounts. I replaced those and the noise was still there. One Firestone told me it needed both lower ball joints and both upper control arms. I did not replace those. Another Firestone told me the ball joints were fine but it needed cab mounts. I did not replace those either. A few months ago I took it to Bobby Gentry’s to get my warped rotors replaced. After the test drive, Bobby told me the noise was from the sway bar end links. So I took it there today to get those replaced and what do you know? $300 later, the noise is gone. So it didn’t need struts & mounts. It didn’t need all ball joints and control arms. It didn’t need cab mounts. It just needed sway bar end links. And Bobby diagnosed that on his 5 minute test drive. There’s a reason Bobby Gentry’s has been in business for over 40 years. A true honest, professional, and qualified repair shop.

Five Stars!!! It's always been said to get a second opinion when it comes to vehicle repairs. Gentry's was that second opinion, (blessing) for me. The first opinion told me I needed an exhaust replacement, and gave me a sticker shock quote. Gentry's, who specializes in this type of work, was able to do a repair to a leak, saving me a lot of money and time. I walked in, explained my issue, and the guys (with amazing customer service) got me right in. They completed the work in under an hour, and were so humble they would not accept my offer to tip. I highly recommend Bobby Gentry's Muffler & Brakes, especially to ladies. They did an excellent job!!✨?
