I really hate to write a negative review considering that everyone was very nice. But my issue is with the appointments and wait times. My husband and I had appointments. We waited an hour to be seen. After we were seen for the exam and by the doctor, we waited another hour to be seen for glasses. The store filled up very quickly but it seemed as if walk ins and other people had precedence over us (with appointments). I asked the young lady at the counter (I do not know her name-No name tag- but a blonde lady) how long my wait time would be. And she finished paperwork and did some computer work before she answered me. When I told her we would leave and return, she told me that we couldn’t and we wouldn’t get a prescription without payment. We planned on paying but didn’t want to be there for hours; hence the appointment. She was so rude. We waited and got our glasses. However, we would have spent more money on lenses had we not been so frustrated with the whole process. I just think there has got to be a better way to honor the appointments and respect customer’s time. The manager (I do not know her name) and Landon were very nice.

I went to get my glasses adjusted and was told to sit down by the manager. I sat and waited then they told me to sit at a desk. I sat and waited, while they helped other customers. Then as more customers sat next to me at the desks, no one bothered to look at me and help me. I recommend going to another location or eyeglass service entirely unless you want to spend awhile waiting for eyeglass adjustment. I felt disrespected as a customer since I patiently to get help.

Assistant Manager, Terry Burts, was possibly the least helpful manager I have ever had the misfortune of encountering. My exam was quick, I showed up early to my appointment, and then waited while the Asst. Manager spent 20 minutes trying to upscale a lady who was ordering contacts on glasses that she repeatedly said she did not want. They continually helped people who came in after us in front of us. When I said I just wanted to pay for my exam and leave, I was told that I would have to wait in the waiting room for them to call me. I was there over an hour!! I have used America’s Best for years but I will NEVER BE BACK! This place is horribly mismanaged.

I had a really good experience here. Staff and Doctor were professional and friendly. Exams were quick and efficient, and Landon the young man who helped us check out was very polite, yall should give him a raise.

My husband and myself went in about a week ago and we had both scheduled appointments. Upon arrival the girl checking in found my appointment no problem, but she had a hard time pulling up my husbands and called him by the wrong name…she honestly looked lost and the manager was too busy gossiping with other employees. The poor girl seemed as if she had been thrown to the wolves. Of course we were patient and I repeated my husbands name. Now here comes the next problem I have health insurance and my husband does not which I stated at check in, we both filled out the paperwork provided now mind you we both put our legal names (this will be important later). I filled out an extra sheet of paperwork because I had insurance, they couldn’t figure out my insurance card. The manager Shannon I think is her name came to talk to me in a very condescending tone. I told her I have valid insurance as she was trying to say it wasn’t valid. I have a pretty common and well known insurance so this shouldn’t have been a problem. We eventually agreed on me just getting an itemized bill. Now came the pre-check… the young man doing mine was wonderful, but the young lady doing my husband’s called him the wrong name three times and when my husband corrected her all three times she got an attitude and stated she was right, not to mention she took forever to sight in the machine and didn’t provide my husband a case for his contacts or solution to use. She claimed she didn’t know where those items were and sent him up to the front to ask for said items. The only positive thing about this store is Dr. Barnabei he was kind , helpful, professional and honestly seemed like the only person there that knew what they were doing. So thank you Dr. Barnabei for actually being competent!Once we were done seeing Dr. Barnabei we were instructed to wait until a tech was available to check us out. We stood there waiting for about 10 minutes and yes the store was busy, but there were two techs just walking around. I tried several times to get their attention, I finally walked up to the desk and asked to check out where once again the manager was condescending. We finally had someone helps us check out. Fast forward to this Saturday my Husband went to the Flower Mound store to order new contacts and glasses. When the Flower Mound store called this store to ask for Dr. Barnabei to fax over a different prescription the girl that answered seemed as if she didn’t know what was going on. The girl at the Flower Mound told my husband that it seemed as if the lady on the phone had no clue what to do. Eventually the message got to Dr. Barnabei and he was fast to respond and fax over another script. So again thank you Dr. Barnabei!

Horrible customer service today!America’s best has lost our families business forever with their actions.I called an hour before I sent my teenage daughter to pick up her contacts. I was told they had them and they would be ready. She got there and they were busy, which is understandable for a Saturday. But to be told that they didn’t have her contacts without looking and then to ignore her for 30-40 min is something else. I had to call and the lady that answered was the same one I talked to before. I told her what was going on and she didn’t really care. She ended up putting me back on hold while I was mid sentence. Then got off the phone and said so loudly that my daughter could her hear across the store that some people just don’t know how to wait while laughing. A few minutes after that another employee went to finally help my da ughter she told her to hang on she was getting her contacts. Well let’s just say she was told (by the phone girl) to NOT get her contacts because my daughter could wait and not at all quietly. The whole store was staring at my daughter at that point. She ended up leaving in tears because of the way she was embarrassed.

Came here today for an exam and glasses. Brittney was awesome about going over all of my options with me and accommodating the questions that I had.While the "exam and glasses promo for $79" only covers basic glasses without any extras, the glasses that I picked out actually ended up being cheaper than something similiar on Zenni, and I got more here.

I was very pleased with the service I received at this location. The “pre-appointment” person was friendly enough. The Optometrist seemed knowledgeable, although he didn’t have much personality. But, the best part was Landon.Landon was the young man that my daughter and I had the pleasure of sitting with to finalize the appointment and order my glasses, etc. Landon is THE reason I will go back to this location in the future. Kind, knowledgeable, funny & just a real pleasure. Thank you, Landon, for making our day!-Amy Hubbard- Wright

The optometrist had me in and out within three minutes. He was rushing and it was obvious. Disrespectful. He didn’t bother with formalities. The pre-screening tech was nicer and took his time. I returned glasses I’ve ordered here because they arrived with obvious defects. Just go to another location.

Recommend Americans best 1000% because of Brittany, she’s literally the best! 4 pairs of glasses at the best price with maximizing our benefits with our insurance. Couldn’t of asked for better quality of customer satisfaction! Thank you for your patience and support!

First of all, the stars are all for Brittany at the Denton Rayzor Ranch location. Both times I went, she was a shining light in the midst of all the chaos it took to get in there for my contact lens tutorial. This employee deserves a raise- I’m serious. I have been in her presence for all of 15 minutes, total, between the visits and I can see she’s the one you want to keep around. I’m just glad I got her name before I left.

They say 2 pair for 79.95 plus 2 pair glasses.I got a contract lens exam that is 40 more. They tried to charge me 99.00 for the exam plus 85 for two pair of glass.Very misleading. Will not go back!!!

Ordered two pairs of glasses on June 3rd got my first pair, still don’t have the second pair because they lost them. It’s been a month keep calling them every day to see if they are in which is pointless because they don’t. I will never go back to this place.

Went in to get an additional pair of glasses, had a current Rx and was already in the system, so it should have been a very easy process and sale. None of my information changed, but they wanted to verify and the insurance company was already closed. They said they would verify the next day and call me. I did not get a call and at 4:15 I called them. I was immediately placed on hold...for 20 minutes. I hung up and called back and actually got to talk to someone and explained my situation and was then placed on hold for 15 more minutes with no one coming back on the line. I gave up and took my business some place else.
