This is what a lumber yard should be, great customer service, prompt delivery and reasonably priced. As a previous person commented - know what you need, this is not Home Depot or Lowes, this is for professionals who build homes and for some of us who dabble with DIY projects - the quality is untouched by Lowes and Home Depot - and these folks know what they are selling unlike the others listed who only have a FEW people that know that they are selling.

So I am a board member and a blacksmith at the Frontier Village and museum in Denison Texas. I’m putting together what we found out is the only standing historical blacksmith shop in this part of Texas and Grayson County. I went in today and talked to a representative about what I’m trying to do as far as putting in a board floor in the blacksmith shop . Not only are they extremely friendly, but extremely helpful kind patient (as I tend to ramble when I’m excited lol.)! I am a huge supporter of local business as my family originally back east has been in small business for over 150 years. (Recently, that has been also in the woodworking industry. ) Having grown up in the woodworking industry and using wood, their products are amazing quality and extremely well priced. Why bother going to the other chain store “you know where places lol again friendly, knowledgeable, kind patient I would tell everyone and I am telling everyone to come in do your business with these wonderful folks. I look forward to doing business with y’all in the future. ☺️

The old women at the front desk were snarky. As if they didn't want to do their job. The only reason for 3 stars was the guy on the fork lift in the yard was amazing. ("WhAt LenGtH") was stated after we specifically stated the length twice. Will never buy lumber here again.

Avoid business here. I’ve been building for 17 years and I have never dealt with a lumber company that is so dishonest. I got my estimate back last week and thought I would call the store anonymously to see how good of a deal I’m getting by having an account. RETAIL PRICING WAS LESS THAN MY BUILDER PRICING!!!!Also, they have called me back on multiple occasions in the past 6 months to tell me that they “accidentally” under charged me and would be charging my card on file for the “missing” amount. Delivery is always damaged and awful quality and the ownership is stuck up and rude. I am embarrassed that I have bought from them for this long.Go to any other lumber yard in the area and you will be better off.

This place has the absolute worst communication, customer service, and processes that I’ve ever seen. Not sure if it was just my salesman or the organization as a whole, but I will not do business with these guys ever again. I will also not recommend them to anyone that I know.

This place is superb!! I needed a piece of floor trim and couldn't find my particular one anywhere! I went to Lowes, Home Depot and nobody had my particular trim. I was told to check out main street lumber and millwork. So I go in and was greeted by the friendly and kind Lisa, who went out of her way to get the piece I needed!! My particular design of floor trim was a bit unique, but they were able to, when they cut the wood round off the top edge for me just like my floor trim design is!! Thank you so much main street lumber for going above and beyond to get me my exact trim! You guys are wonderful!! Special thank you to Lisa for all your time and effort in helping me with this endeavor. Highly, highly recommend main street lumber to everyone!! (Picture below is of the wood after I just painted it, the top part is rounded, which this piece didn't initially come this way. They rounded the top part for me so it would look exactly like my floor trim at home!)

Lumber’s pretty rough but that might just be bad luck. Their hardware selections is downright disgraceful though. If you need anything more specialized than a big bolt or a framing nail you’re gonna wanna look elsewhere. Only gave them two stars instead of one cause they’ve always been friendly, if fairly unhelpful.

Ordered the 117 siding I needed and delivered it on time. Super nice people. Called me the day they were bringing it so I could be there when they showed up.
