“In a super clean, very organized supermarket, good service and you get Latin products, which you won't get in supermarket chains. The cashiers are very friendly.”
“Its not Arlans anymore-This place was formerly minimax. Back then it was like 50's time warp. A few years ago it was taken over by Arlan's, a small chain. It was a big improvement, more produce, better products, better hours and more. As of Spring 2021 it has been taken over by Fresh Plus. As of Sept 2021 they are still re-arranging and re-stocking the store so in some respects it is a work in progress. But what I've seen so far is a reduction in the variety of products they carry (especially produce) . You don't shop here if your on a budget as well. They do have an expanded beer and wine selection which seems to take up about 1/5 of the store now, I guess that's what sells at greater margins. The other "neighborhood" grocery stores have similar footprints for booze.Hours got cut (they close at 9) from Arlans, not quite as much charm either. The last of the mini-max era people have left as well. We'll see how it finally shakes out.It still a good place to go to pick up something fast (if they ever quit moving things around and you can find it).”
“Great little shop with a huge selection of goods. Every time we are in town we visit this shop. The staff is always polite, and helpful. The locatin of this shop is perfect, we stop at this shop to avoid going to a busier less clean typical convenience store. I don't have a problem going out of my way to stop at this location, It is a much better shopping experience and I'm always in and out in a matter of minutes, plus it's one of the cleanest stores I've been in.”
“I just love the feel and vibes of the place — it’s very cozy and clean. They also have a lot of hot readymade food, and all their selections for things like produce is of high quality and usually organic.”
“Excellent service, you will find everything you are looking for as a Mexican store if it meets the requirements, and what can we say about the cashiers. Excellent service, very friendly.”

2701 E 7th St, Austin“I first reviewed the store 3 years ago and gave it a 3/5. Not sure what's changed since then but the staff is much BETTER, so perhaps new leadership or better hiring. Everyone that works at this particular location seems to enjoy working here. They are friendly and supportive and courteous. There's one exception with a person that works in the seafood department who is rude and ignorant and I reported him directly to the store manager rather than rate the store down just because of him. The store would be a 5 if they didn't seem to have HEB brands for everything taking over the store and limited sustainably sourced seafood, and humanely treated meat products.”

5808 Burnet Rd, Austin“The Bakery folks are top-notch.
I purchased a blank sheet cake and they not only made some stellar suggestions and recommendations but also delivered with a high-level of attention to detail and quality in a short period of time.”
“Very clean, well-maintained Mexican grocery store. It was hard to find organic items but I appreciated how fresh all the produce looks and there were what looked like deliciously homemade items at the front, including tamales.”
“Apr2024: 4⭐: I could recommend this local corner grocery store.I stopped by this location looking for a few specific items of interest. It is a small store but it had several of the items that I needed in a timely manner. I noted that this store had what appeared to be fresh baked items on the shelves as well. I noted there were shelves of wine available in the store as well. As expected, I knew items in this city area would be expensive, but I was surprised with this store. I made my selection quickly and went to the register. The small store does have the ability to use digital pay at the register. I noticed that while I was trying to pay it asked me if I wanted to leave a tip before I paid my bill. I thought it was interesting that this store had a mandatory selection on the software program that asked for a tip. Why should I tip when I am the one selecting the groceries that I am paying for in the store and walking them to the cash register ? It just seemed to be a little bit...over the top. Either way, the store was orderly and clean upon my arrival and departure.”
“This HEB surprised me, it is bigger than you can imagine and it is super well organized. You find everything and there is no "cart" traffic, I really liked it.”
“Google sent me here for birria bombs. This is the only place in South Austin that carries these. $8.99 for a package of 2 vs $21 on TikTok Shop. This place was clean and was fully stocked with great things.”

1220 Barton Hills Dr, Austin“The staff is the best, always friendly and helpful. My kids will make a trek to this safe neighborhood market for treats during the summer. Also, this is great place for buying bags of ice.”
“I actually really like this location. Spacious, well stocked and never had to wait too long. Sadly, the exit from the parking lot is messed up and obviously has been an issue for many people.”
“The fruteria here is amazing! They have the best sliced mangos around, and nothing is more refreshing that fresh sliced watermelon with a slice of lime. There is a hot food area and a good variety of produce and groceries. The management is very accommodating of special requests!I love this spot!”
“I missed my original flight and when I got to the ticket counter, the agent politely said she had shut her workstation down. I explained that I had a flight and needed to know if I was too late. She powered her system back up and told me yes I was too late. Panicking because I was going to a wedding, she calmly told me my options. I rebooked for the first flight out the next morning and she gave me a drink coupon for my nerves. Ms. Nikki was wonderful and so was the other agent the next morning.”

512 W Stassney Ln STE 101, Austin“Awesome store. They just didn't have the kind of beer that we drink. But the owner said he would start getting that beer because it's popular. Thank you.”
“I love the best selection and variety of things that you can get at H-E-B plus. This particular location can get a little bit crowded and usually does so it really odd times like 10 PM on a Sunday or what have you. But all the other patrons are perfectly polite. No one‘s rude or anything like that. It just is a lot of people and a lot of trafficgetting in and out of there. Store employees are all great, very friendly and efficient. They always remember to give buddy bucks to my three-year-old daughter which she and I both appreciate very much. Thank you for being an awesome location guys.”
“Gas pumps: One gas pump in particular has had issues, but there are plenty of options, and they work great. Not always the best prices.Alcoholic selection: Large for a gas station.Bathrooms: Only 1 bathroom. It is pretty spacious. It is kept neat, and the cashiers will give you a key to access it.Groceries: More than you'd find in most gas stations. They even have fruit!”
“The pan dulces (pastries) are delicious and not too sweet --just like the way I like them! The tamales were to die for!!! Who would have thought a tamale near the cash register would blow my mind? The guy at the front desk knew because he looked at me with a smug smile. I'll surely be back... If anybody knows of the recipe... Please let me know!”
“Yes stopped on the way home, for a couple of small things some fruit cantaloupe in bowl , wasn't very sweet and next day , smell funny, a nd bought a couple nestley crunch candies off rack by register, one ok, one white thru in trash don't know how long had been there, should have took back , but busy schedule didn't have time,so first experience wasn't great, dont know if will go back, didn't take pictures should have.”
“Way too expensive, they take advantage of the fact that they are the only 'grocery store out here. I bought a quart of runny refried beans for $6, disappointed when I got home.”

9111 FM812, Austin“It's a good place, only the ladies who work at the taqueria are angry most of the time, you ask them for something and the first thing they tell you is (that costs more money) as if it were theirs.”
“I been stopping in pretty much since they have been open. As a time traveler I have seen and visited most places for historical documentaries. The two fine young ladies that I see often are great? the skinny kid with the glasses is really cool. Fast and professional people make wish I could take them back to the 26th century with me. I recommend the coffee.”
